Objective: The electronic device laboratory explores the practical and simulated applications of
diodes. One such application is rectification, which converts AC voltage to stable DC voltage.
During the open-ended lab, students design a full wave rectifier to achieve a stable DC voltage,
which they then utilize to implement various logic gates. In addition to conducting the experiment,
students must compare the data obtained through simulation and experimentation and write a report
on their findings.
NAND GATE :
A NAND gate is a type of logic gate in digital electronics that performs the NAND (NOT-AND)
operation. It has two or more input signals and one output signal. The output of the NAND gate is
"high" (1) only if both of its input signals are "low" (0). In all other cases, the output of the NAND
gate is "low" (0).
OR GATE :
An OR gate is a type of logic gate in digital electronics that performs the OR operation. It has two
or more input signals and one output signal. The output of the OR gate is "high" (1) if at least one
of its input signals is "high" (1). Otherwise, the output of the OR gate is "low" (0).
Logic NAND Gate :
Apparatus:
1. Diode
2. Resistor
3. Breadboard
4. Oscilloscope
5. Multimeter
6. Capacitor
7. Chord
8. Resistor
Result: It can be observe that data table support the NAND and OR gates truth table.
