‘really/quite/very’

Really and very are strong. They make the meaning of that adjective or adverb
more intense, more powerful. Really and very are similar to another intensifier:
extremely.

● She did very/really/extremely well on the test

Extremely is a bit more intense than the others.

Quite adds strength, but not as much as really or very. It is usually just more than
expected.

● The show was quite good. (=the show was noticeably good, perhaps better
than expected)
