Reading List
This document is intended to give students a list of the texts required for the University of York’s online MSc programs and an overview of their format and
availability via the University of York’s library. Where possible the aim is to provide digitised versions of all core reading either as downloadable book sections
or full text electronic licenses. In some cases, we can only provide access to Physical Loan texts which can be accessed via postal services but are limited in
number. In these cases the student should consider purchasing the text (or alternative access) to ensure access. Where we provide digitised sections of a text
students may also find that purchasing the text will provide a broader context to their studies.

Project
All modules are reviewed prior to being rolled out which may result in a change of text if access or suitability are deemed not appropriate for online delivery.
Take note of the review date if you are intending to purchase texts ahead of a module’s start date, as texts may change after the review date.
The decision to purchase texts that are available electronically is the students, however, please be aware that you may not always get access to the electronic
version that the university provides. While all electronic versions of core texts have more than one license, there is not one per student. If you find you are
persistently unable to get access, please let your student success coordinator know. ([email protected]).
Please be aware that while we endeavour to keep our information up to date regarding course textbooks, publishers may change licensing agreements
without prior consultation/notification and freely published materials may be retracted at any time. Students residing outside the UK are advised to check
availability and access to texts in their own country.
