SAP is one of the world’s leading producers of software for the management of business
processes. SAP, or Systems Applications and Products, is a widely-used enterprise resource
planning (ERP) software. SAP creates a centralized system for businesses that enables every
department to access and share common data to create a better work environment for every
employee in the company.

SAP is the most-used ERP software on the market and contains hundreds of fully
integrated modules that cover nearly every aspect of business management. SAP is a
multinational software vendor and the market-share leader in ERP. The company currently
serves more than 180 countries and offers on-premises, cloud and hybrid deployment models,
though cloud computing options are the focus of most of its development efforts. SAP creates a
centralized system for businesses that enables every department to access and share common
data to create a better work environment for every employee in the company. SAP is the most-
used ERP software on the market and contains hundreds of fully integrated modules that cover
nearly every aspect of business management.

to-end solutions for financial, logistics, distribution, and inventories.
SAP S/4HANA takes ERP to the next level by using the power of in-memory computing to
process vast amounts of data, and to support advanced technologies such as artificial
intelligence (AI) and machine learning. The company’s integrated applications connect all parts
of a business into an intelligent suite on a fully digital platform, thereby replacing the process-
driven, legacy platform.

Thus, one of the advantages of SAP ERP is that it provides centralized database resulting
to files, documents or information not being duplicated resulting to waste of storage.
Moreover, since it is centralized, the function of every department becomes more efficient
primarily because information from one department can be used by other department for
example, the information from sales department as to how many orders can be used by the
production department as to how many they will produce for a particular period. Moreover,
another advantages of using SAP are SAP allows all data to be well integrated with various
databases. For this reason, this system is able to streamline business processes so that
companies can collect data more easily and efficiently, The SAP system can increase employee
productivity because the program is well integrated, The SAP system can increase employee

almost all existing business dimensions. This system provides flexibility for company growth,
including small and medium enterprises. On the other hand, some of the disadvantages of SAP
are the use of SAP requires relatively large funds. In addition, the maintenance and upgrade
costs are quite large. SAP systems tend to have complexities that make them quite complicated
when used by beginners.
