This section presents the demographic information of the respondents, providing essential
characteristics of the sampled population, which is crucial for understanding the study context. The
demographic data was collected to gain insights into the profile of the individuals participating in the
research.

Gender Distribution
The table reveals the distribution of gender among the respondents. A total of 331 respondents
participated in the study. Of these, 144 respondents, constituting 43.5%, identified as male, while 186
respondents, representing 56.2%, identified as female.
The table presents the highest level of education attained by the respondents. A total of 322 valid
responses were collected. The educational levels include 'No formal education', 'Primary', 'Secondary'
and 'College/Tertiary/University'. The majority of respondents, comprising 125 (38.82%), reported
having completed secondary education, while 89 (27.5%) had completed primary education. About 29
(9.01%) had pursued higher education at the college, tertiary, or university level. Significantly, 79
(24.64%) of the participants had no formal education.
This table displays the level of the health facility last visited by respondents. Out of the 331 respondents,
313 provided valid responses. The categories of health facility levels are 'level 2', 'Level 3', 'Level 4', and
'Level 5'. The data indicates that 'Level 2' health facilities were the most frequently visited, with 30.4%,
followed closely by 'Level 3' at 30.0%. Level 5 facilities accounted for 72 (23%). Level 4 facilities, while

This table outlines the number of visits respondents made to the hospital. Among the 331 respondents,
303 provided valid responses. The categories for the number of visits include 'second visit', 'third visits',
'several visits'. The data shows that the majority of respondents, accounting for 182 (60.06%), reported
making several visits to the hospital. This indicates a recurring need for healthcare services among this
group. Meanwhile, 66 (21.78%) of respondents indicated a third visit, and 55 (18.15%) reported a
second visit.
This information sheds light on the frequency of healthcare utilization by the study's participants.
Approximate Distance from Home to Nearest Health Facility
This table presents data on the approximate distance from respondents' homes to the nearest health
facility. Among the 331 respondents, 324 provided valid responses. The distance categories include 'Less
than 5km', 'Between 5km to 10km', 'Between 10km to 15km', and 'More than 15km'. The majority of
respondents comprising 105 (32.4%), reported that the nearest health facility was situated between 5
kilometers to 10 kilometers from their homes. Additionally, 97 (29.9%) of the respondents reported a
distance of less than 5 kilometers from their homes, while 71 (21.9%) indicated a range of 10 kilometers
to 15 kilometers. 51 (15.7%) reported that the nearest health facility was located more than 15
kilometers from their residences. This information offers insights into the geographical accessibility of
healthcare services for the study participants.
