Stage / Time Activity Procedure Warm-up greeting -T greets Ss:” Good morning” 5 min -T. asks: “How are you doing?” Presentation -T uses a demonstration using the mirror to introduce the reflexive pronouns. 20 min -T gives the mirror to a student and asks Ss to form a sentence describing Context setting him/her. -T: Who looks at the mirror? / Ss : he -T: who does he see in the mirror? / Ss: he Isolation and -T writes this sentence on the BB : He looks at he in the mirror. explanation -T asks Ss to identify the subject, the verb and the object./ T makes Ss notice the repetition of “he” in the sentence. -T omits “he” and replaces it by “himself”, T explains that “himself” is a reflexive pronoun. -T asks Ss to work in pairs and complete the chart in Page16. +class correction -T explains the difference in writing between self in singular and selves in plural. -I elicit the rule of use of reflexive pronouns? I guide Ss to the answer.
