2. How to Install the New Keypad / Display
a) Slip on a wrist ground strap and clip the ground
strap to an earth-ground in the enclosure. Do not
work on the control unit unless you have established
a common earth-ground potential among yourself,
the enclosure, and the PCB.
b) Remove the new display from its shipping carton
and antistatic wrapping.
c) Carefully align the two headers on the keypad /
display with the two sets of mating pins on the PCB.
Press firmly on the right-hand side of the keypad /
display to mate and fully engage the connections
between the headers and mating pins. Refer to
Figure No. 1.
d) Secure the keypad / display to the four nylon
standoffs with the four screws removed in Step 1c).

Refer to the control unit’s installation, operation, and
maintenance manual for power-up procedures and
recommended system testing.
