    WHAT IS BAG TECHNIQUE?

    - IT IS A TOOL BY WHICH THE NURSE DURING HER HOME VISIT WILL ENABLE HER/HIM TO
    PERFORM A NURSING PROCEDURE WITH EASE AND DEFTNESS.

    IT IS ALSO AN ESSENTIAL AND INDISPENSABLE EQUIPMENT OF A PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE WHICH SHE HAS TO CARRY
    ALONG DURING HER HOME VISIT.

    SO WE HAVE TO ARRANGE THE MATERIALS OR EQUIPMENT THAT WE NEED IN THE BAG.

    SO UPON ARRIVING TO THE CLIENTS HOME MAKE SURE TO GREET AND INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO THE FAMILY. AND
    ASK FOR FLAT SURFACE LINED WITH PAPER LINING, CLEAN SIDE OUT.

    MA’AM MATANONG KO LANG PO MUNA AKO KUNG MERON KAYONG LAMESA PO, CHEST OR BOX NA PWEDE KO PONG
    PAGLAGYAN NG BAG KO PARA MAKAPAG START NA PO AKO. OKAY PO MA’AM

    (PUNTA NA SA MAY TABLE) SO BEFORE PUTTING THE BAG ON THE TABLE MAKE SURE TO SPREAD OR PUT A PAPER
    LINING THEN THE PLASTIC LINING TO PREVENT THE BAG FROM GETTING CONTAMINATED

    AND NOW WE’RE GOING TO PUT THE PAPER LINING AND THEN THE PLASTIC LINING.

    AND NEXT PUT THE BAG ON THE LEFT SIDE (OF THE TABLE) MAKE SURE TO PUT THE STRAPS UNDERNEATH (SA BABA)TO
    PREVENT CONTAMINATION

    YOU CAN ASK YOUR CLIENT IF THEY HAVE A BASIN OR DRINKING GLASS OF WATER AVAILABLE SO YOU CAN USE THIS
    MATERIAL FOR YOU TO HAVE THE POURING METHOD AS A HANDWASHING.

    THEN OPEN THE BAG AND TAKE OUT FIRST THE HAND TOWEL THE SOAP INSIDE AND CLOSE THE BAG TO PREVENT
    CONTAMINATION THEN DO THE HANDWASHING. SO THIS IS IMPORTANT TO DO TO PREVENT THE CROSS
    CONTAMINATION OF MICROORGANISM OR ANY POSSIBLE INFECTION.

    AFTER THAT, PUT THE TOWEL AND THE SOAP AT THE RIGHT SIDE (PUT THE SOAP AND THE TOWEL AT THE RIGHT OF THE
    TABLE )

    AFTER THAT I WOULD BE OPENING MY BAG AND TAKE OUT MY APRON AND CLOSED IT AGAIN , O THIS IS NECESSARY
    BECAUSE IT WILL PROTECT THE NURSES UNIFROM

    AFTER I PUT ON MY APRON I WILL BE TAKING OUT OR PUTTING OUT ALL THE NECESSARY MATERIALS THAT I WILL BE
    NEEDING FOR THIS PROCEDURE.

    HELLO MA’AM I’M LYKA AIATASHA RIVERA AND I WILL BE DOING THE LEOPOLDS MANEUVER, THIS IS TO DETERMINE
    THE POSITION, PRESENTATION, AND ENGAGEMENT OF YOUR BABY.

    I WILL BRING OUT ALL THE NECESSARY MATERIALS THAT I WILL BE NEEDING WHICH IS THE TAPE MEASURE AND ROLLED
    TOWEL.

    ASK THE CLIENT TO EMPTY HER BLADDER FIRST BEFORE WE START THE PROCEDURE. PUT THE ROLLED TOWEL IN THE
    RIGHT SIDE OF THE CLIENT. PERFROM THE 1 ST, 2ND, 3RD AFTER THAT WE ARE NOW GOING TO MEASURE THE FUNDAL
    HEIGHT USING TAPE MEASURE. 4TH MANEUVER.

    AFTER DOING ALL THE PROCEDURE NECESSARY CARE MAKE SURE TO CLEAN THE MATERIALS BEFORE PUTTING IT INSIDE
    THE BAG.

    SO THIS TIME I WILL BE USING THE COTTON BALLS WITH THE 70% SOLUTION OF ALCHOL

    SO AFTER GIVING THE TREATMENT CLEAN ALL THE MATERIALS BEFORE PUTTING IT INSIDE THE BAG TO PREVENT THE
    SPREAD OF INFECTION AND ALSO TO PROTECT THE HEALTH OF CARE WORKER
    AFTER THAT, PUT IT IN THE CLEAN SIDE OF THE TABLE . THEN PUT THE COTTON THAT YOU USE IN CLEANING TO PROPER
    RECEPTACLE.

    THEN PUT ALL THE MATERIALS INSIDE THE BAG

    FOR THE SOUP AND TOWEL WE HAVE TO PUT IT INSIDE THE PLASTIC BAG

    I WILL NOW BE REMOVING MY APRON BY OBSERVING THE PROPER TECHNIQUE AS WELL BUT DON’T LET YOUR HAND
    TO TOUCH THE OUTSIDE OF THE APRON.

    REMOVE THE APRON BY FOLDING IT AWAY FROM YOU AND REMEMBER THAT THE CLEAN SIDE MUST BE OUT AND THE
    SOUL SIDE MUST BE IN

    AFTER THAT PUT IT IN THE PLASTIC BAG THEN PUT IT INSIDE YOUR BAG

    CLOSE THE BAG THEN GET THE PLASTIC LINING AND PAPER LINING AND PUT IT INSIDE THE PLASTIC BAG THEN PLACE IT
    IN PROPER RECEPTACLE
