Learners effectiveness has been an outstanding issue of

investigations in SLA since the global prosperity of

English language started. This study strived to examine
the impact of learner effective strategies on the L2
learning style.
As there is no suffient database and research on
effective learners This study strive several questions to
find answer for them:
-How does learner effectiveness affect learning use of
strategies?
-What are taxonomies of learning strategies?
The objects of the research were undergraduate
students of Azerbaijan universities in both male and
female gender.Researchers used as a methodology of
the case study, to classify them into more and less
effective learners and used questionnaires based on
their General English section from high school.Overall
441 participants were surveyed according to four main
types of strategies like:
Communicative
Analytical
Authority oriented
Concrete
The suitable instrument of the study were questionnaire
and surveys devised by (Willing,1994) and modified
versions of questionnaire by Wong and Nunan(2011)
Results of the study clearly showed the differences
between less and more effective groups, because the
responces of the students varied through their chi-
square test results.
Nevertheless,It became obvious that further studies
should consider the possible effects of learner attributes
inclufing their mother tongue and age variation on the
relationship between learner effectiveness and learning
strategies. The impact of this article made me to
reanalyse my own learning strategies and to do some
investigations from other topic-related dources.
