This document provides 7 step instructions for setting up an ePortfolio in CET333: 1. Click the Account icon and ePortfolio menu to access the create button. Name the ePortfolio with your name and course. 2. Copy the private URL to a Word document on a USB drive for later submission. 3. Click the link to access the ePortfolio, then edit the Welcome page and add your name and degree. 4. Create 7 sections for the required assignment elements: Requirements Specification, Planning Documentation, etc. 5. The ePortfolio is now set up. CET333 – ePortfolio Setup Instructions

Step 1: Click the Account icon in the Course Navigation menu

Step 2: Click the ePortfolio menu option


Step 3: Click on the create an ePortfolio button that appeared in the top right hand corner.

Name your ePortfolio as "CET333 ePortfolio for yourname"

Note: Do not select the Make it public


Finally, click the make ePortfolio button.
You will have a page that looks similar to that shown below:

Step 4: Copy the private ePortfolio URL to a Word Document and save this Word document
on a USB pen drive or in your MyDocuments folder.

You will be required to submit this URL in CANVAS later in the module.
Step 5: Click on the "Go to the actual ePortfolio" link

You will then see the default Welcome page. Click on the link "Edit this page"

Step 6: Re name the Welcome page as below with suitable text as shown below (i.e.
"Welcome to yourname CET333 ePortfolio"). Then add some content to the page. It is
suggested to include your name and the title of the degree you are studying on. Finally, click
Save page
Step 7: Now create the sub sections that will contain all the Pages you create during
CET333 Product Development. Each sub sections will contain each of the required
assignment elements.

Click on the Organise sections menu item.

Then click on Add section.

Now create the following sections:


• Requirements Specification
• Planning Documentation
• Methodology
• Solution Design Documentation
• Testing Methodology and Testing Documentation
• Technical Deployment of the Solution
• Evaluation and Critical Reflection
So after creating the sections your screen should now look like the image below.

That is it! You now have the skills need to use CANVAS with CET333. You can either upload
Word or PDF files with in each of the sections above as you complete each element of the
assignment OR you can copy and paste the content directly into the pages in the eportfolio.

Further advice on uploading a screencast demo of your solution to the assignment will be
provided later in the module in CANVAS.
