ABSTRACT v
The study aims to identify the main reasons why most schools do not have a proper
record of their attendance, whether it is due to a lack of time or difficulty in tracking a large
application that aims to address these challenges by automating the attendance tracking
process. This application utilizes a scanning device that allows for quick and accurate
tracking of student attendance, reducing the workload of teachers and improving the
implementation of the application at Cainta Senior High School, with the goal of providing
students with a more reliable and efficient attendance record system. The purpose of
creating and implementing this kind of system in Cainta Senior High is to determine if this
kind of system the QR Scanner Attendance Program will be beneficial for the teachers
and the students of Cainta Senior High School and to determine if this program will be
the answer to help and upgrade the manually ways of checking and tracking the

INTRODUCTION
This chapter presents the background of the study, the statement of the
problem, the significance of the study, and the scope and delimitation of the study.
This research proposes an application that will solve the time-consuming process
Application can record the attendance of every students of Cainta Senior High School, it
is an application that will provide a reliable and efficient attendance monitoring in using
QR code for students’ time in and out and will manage the student regular attendance.
Recording attendance is a time-consuming process especially when classes are big and
The researchers provide this research so that the students of Cainta Senior High
School would have a proper and decent attendance record list. The Attendance Scanner
automatically records the student's attendance by just scanning their given personal QR
code. It is a well-known fact that almost all organizations, whether they are educational

sheets a very long period. The government experiences difficulty when often updating the
attendance records and manually calculating the proportion of classes that were both
absent and present for the purposes of the outcome, processing and examinations.
The researchers find that there are some problems in manually checking the
attendance that leads to create an application that will automatically check and record the
attendance of every student. According to Asri Nuhi (2020) student participation in the
classroom is directly related to their academic performance. Over the years, attendance
management has been conducted manually at most of the universities. To overcome the

student attendance. The manual process of checking attendance, such as calling out
names or using paper attendance sheets, can be time-consuming and prone to errors.
process for tracking attendance. Another reason for the study could be to assess the
collecting data on the students' attendance records before and after the implementation
of the scanner, the study can determine if the system has had a positive impact on
attendance.
The study may also be prompted by the desire to evaluate the level of acceptance
of the scanner system among the students. The system may require students to adjust
their behavior, such as ensuring they have their identification cards with them at all times,
and may impact their perception of privacy and surveillance. The study may seek to
understand how the students perceive these changes and their level of comfort with the
scanner system.

than doing it manually. Hence, it will encourage most of the teachers to record attendance
Future Researchers. The Future researchers can use this study in the near future
for the additional references and can be used as a guide for making or developing a
scanner in terms of reliability, efficiency, accuracy and usability and provide new
attendance recording system and give factual information for the upcoming future
school composed of 34 respondents. The study was conducted at Cainta Senior high
school in Cainta, Rizal. Consent was given to the respondents prior to the conducted

In response, this study attempts to explain the design and implementation of a proposed

codes can help to automate attendance management, reduce errors, and save valuable
teaching time. This technology can be implemented in both large and small educational
institutions and can help to improve student attendance and academic performance.

RESEARCH DESIGN
This chapter presents the method of research used, the sources of data, data
gathering instruments, data gathering procedure, and the statistical treatment of data.
This study utilized a quantitative method of research and used descriptive research
design. Descriptive research design is the most suitable to this study in collecting
that the acceptability level of students’ attendance scanner was generally highly
acceptable. This research design is very helpful in this research since the researchers
were able to present the data in a more meaningful way, which allows simpler
