If you only chose one chart or publication from the “available list” to be added to your
portfolio, you will be asked to choose one of three choices to set how updated the chart is,
the charts edition date (all corrections will be set as not applied in the application), the week
/ year it is corrected to or the last correction done on the chart.

Click “Add Charts” and “Save” to confirm your Portfolio changes.

NavTrace – Paper Chart NM’s & Tracings Service

The white exclamation mark (!) on red background indicates that there is a new edition of
this chart / publication going to be published shortly. This shows a few weeks before the
release of the new edition and the new edition date is shown when you place the cursor
over the chart number. The current edition remains valid until the date of the new edition is
published.

When a new edition of a chart arrives and the chart is ordered from NAVTOR you will get the
new edition marked as Ordered or shipped in the “Paper charts in portfolio” as explained
earlier. When the chart is received onboard you can find it by clicking “Edit Portfolio” and it
should show in the “Paper charts in portfolio” window. To activate it, select the “Mark as On
Board” as shown in edit portfolio section above. The old edition will automatically be set as
inactive and the new edition will be active. Click “Save” to update changes.

APPLYING CORRECTIONS IN NAVTRACKER

If you have new corrections not yet applied in the first view and wish to see the corrections,
choose a chart by clicking it once and then click “Apply Correction”.

The following Disclaimer will be shown. Click “Continue” to clear it.

In “Apply corrections” view (see next page), a screen with list of all applicable corrections for
this chosen chart will appear on left hand side and a chosen correction in large screen. It
may take a while to load the correction and message “Loading” appears. Also here applied
corrections are marked with “OK” and not applied with red “X”.

13
NavTrace – Paper Chart NM’s & Tracings Service

Regular NM’s are marked with correction number and a year. The week number when the
correction was announced, status and type will appear when you place the cursor over it.
You can change the page or view between NM and Tracing with the arrow under the picture.

The Temporary (T) and Preliminary (P) corrections are marked with a prefix letter T or P. Text
“(Canc)” means a cancellation message for a T or P message. If there is a strikethrough over
the message name, it means a cancelled T or P message. Note that when you have removed
a cancelled T or P message from the chart, you have to mark both the cancellation message
and the cancelled message itself as “Applied”.

Here you have options to “Print Current image”, “Print All Images” or “Mark as Applied”. You
should print the Tracing on a tracing paper and apply on the chart. You can manually mark
the correction applied but also printing all images will mark it as “Applied” automatically.

Note that you have to check the NM’s as applied in the right order. You cannot mark a NM
applied if there are older NM’s not applied.
