    021184790231 REGIONAL (bit.ly/PHFDP2020_2040) lays out the
    HOSPITALS AND development of priority health facilities
    ITS AREAS OF in the country towards the realization of
    EXPERTISE OR the provisions in the Universal Health
    SPECIALIZATION Care (UHC) Act. Based on the
    envisioned patient flow under UHC,
    regional catchment areas are to be served
    by apex hospitals is provided in the
    Department Circular No. 2022-0633
    2022 List of Eligible Apex or End-
    Referral Hospitals (bit.ly/DC2022-0633).
    In CaLaBaRZon, there are 2 eligible
    apex hospitals which are the Batangas
    Medical Center and De La Salle
    University Medical Center.

    Part of the criteria to be eligible as an


    apex hospital is to have at least two (2)
    specialty centers, based on the Resource
    Stratified Framework of the identified
    sixteen (16) priority specialty care. For
    Batangas Medical Center, they have
    specialty centers for Burn Care, Mental
    Health, and Neonatal Care. On the other
    hand, De La Salle University Medical
    Center has specialty centers for Burn
    Care, Dermatology, Eye care, and
    Trauma Center. You may reach out

    for the details of the specializations they
    currently have.

    IN CALABARZON cardiovascular care are ideally available
    THAT PROVIDE in health facilities across the continuum

    CARDIOVASCULAR hospitals would have services relative to

    articulating your question to identify the
    specific treatments for cardiovascular
    diseases you want to be considered for
    your service capability mapping. Once
    you have identified the specific services,
    you may reach out to the CaLaBaRZon
    Center for Health Development (DOH
    Regional Office for Region IV-A) for the
    assistance in mapping out where your
    identified services are available.
