The truth is we all want to succeed, sometimes walking alone is called
selfishness. We are all responsible for finding the truth in all we do. Most of us
like it and work for it but don’t know the best ways to do it.
When I was planning for the year 2019, evaluating myself; the past mistakes and
achievement I knew a lot about it. I knew some of the causes of my past failure
and success, I knew some mistakes that may result to failure. I knew the best
actions to take in different situations.
According to my experience, I decided to do something, I had a new idea; writing
a book that will help many people. People like me people who would like to
succeed.
Analysing the behaviours and thoughts of other people, understanding how
thoughts may make one a loser or a winner, I decided to let everyone know. I
wrote my book; How to attain success.
Thanks, I hope you have a plan for your life. Don’t give up, find out time to think
about yourself, know what you want and why so as to discover the best strategy
to help you achieve anything in your life. I wish you joy and prosperity in all you

Introduction
Success is the outcome of an undertaking, an accomplishment of an action
within a specific period of time.
Success can also be completing an objective or reaching a goal. It can be
achieved with in a workplace or in individual’s personal life. All we have to keep
in mind is success will never be a fluke, with the right use of time we should be
confident and work hard to achieve.
Whenever we want to achieve something, we also have to do something else.
Sometimes the actions we take don’t get us the results we expected. This book
is suggested for you to learn more about success and how to achieve it.
This is not for entrepreneurs only, it’s your map on a trip called success and your
meal to avoid the hunger of failure. Take time to read and understand its context
so as to come up with the right decision.

2. Select topic
Therefore, the first activity before all is selecting the topic or knowing what you
want to achieve.
It may be anything of your own interest though the idea may even be from
anyone else. Here in life, there should be a time to decide and always go with a
plan. You need to select a topic. Whenever you start a journey, you have to know
where you are heading to.
Before you choose a topic, you have to know you may be mistaken and fail. You
shouldn’t choose abruptly. You have to know your strengths or what you can do,
then find out time to list down what you want to do. What’s your main concern?
You are the one to know which is the most important or should be done first
and why.

2.1. Reading
Reading is what you really have to think about and come up with a decision.
Avoid doubting, if you think it’s necessary, visit any trusted source of
information to know more about what you want to do.
The source of your information may be a library, a site on internet or else where
you may gain information of your interest. The purpose of this research is you
should know the right way to do things, the way others did it and possible errors
and mistakes in order to decide the best way you’ll have to do it.
Remember in your research, it’s a must; you’ll be having to note down
something. It may be anything that seems to be true or new to you and
remember to write the source of any information you record. Writing the source
of your information will help you in the future. For example; if you’re using the
internet for your research and gain wrong information from a single website
twice you’ll never waste your time visiting this site. Writing your research date
is also very important.

2.2. Evidence and accuracy

However, some give wrong information to earn or withstand their future
competitors who want to start and achieve but in the same way some books
especially historical display wrong information for a reason. Since you are sure
no one likes having competitors and not everyone would like to go with you, you
have to be careful. You may ask people you trust and remember also some

people like honour and can give wrong information of what they are not sure
about just as long as they already know you don’t know the truth.
After, you should end up with the truth and understanding. While choosing your
topic we suggested the best way to do your research as reading rather than
asking someone else. When you find a book is not helping you, just think about
your main concern to continue reading or find another. Don’t do it abruptly, you
sometimes have to take easy. If you stress yourself, you’ll end up with wrong
information. Most of the times accuracy is not a big concern for the written
information which is already on papers. If you are carrying out a research on
internet on the internet, make sure you reach the highest possible results. You
search starting with “how to”. You need to be specific; for example if you want
to know what you can do to become rich don’t search how ‘how to become rich’
instead search ‘how to become a millionaire in seconds’.
No matter the cost but you have to end up with the truth on your search. Analyse
your results and try some experiments if possible, use your experience in life
and think about your topic to conclude with trusted information followed by a
perfect decision.

4. Risk Management

4.2. The types of risk

1. strategic risk
This is the risk that your company’s business plan or strategy becomes too
outdated and less effective and your company struggles to reach its goals as a
result.
It may be caused by;
 Spikes in cost of raw materials.
 Technological changes
 A powerful new entrepreneur entering the market.
However, facing a strategic risk doesn’t have to be a distrous.

2. Compliance risk
Of course, laws may change any time, and there’s always a risk you will face
challenges in the future. As your business expands you may find that you need
to comply with new laws that didn’t apply to you before.
For example, let’s say you are running an organic farm in Rwanda and selling
your products across the country. Now things are going so well that you want to
expand to neighbouring country and begin selling there.
Here you are incurring a compliance risk, remember in that country they may
have their own food safety rules. Finally, even if your business remains
unchanged, you may get hit by new rules at any time.
In some cases, a compliance risk can affect your business future becoming a
strategic risk too.
3. Operational risk
Operational risk refers to an unexpected failure in your company’s day to day-
to-day operations. It may be the technical failure or may be caused by your
employees.
In most cases it may be the process failure. For example, when your employees
write the wrong amount of money on a check paying Rwf 1,000,000 instead of
Rwf 100,000 from your account. It could have been prevented by having a more
secure payment process.
Operation risk may also be caused by events outside your control, such as a
natural disaster or power cut. Anything that interrupts your company’s core
operation is in the category of operational risk.

Most categories of risk have a financial impact and lead to the loss of revenue.
The financial risk itself refers to the money flowing out of your business and
possibility of sudden financial loss. Financial risk is increased when the business
is international.
5. Reputation risk
No matter which company you are learning but your reputation is everything.
If your reputation is damaged, you’ll see an immediate loss of revenue. Your
employees may also decide to leave and go. You may find it hard to hire good
replacement as potential candidates no longer want to join your firm.

5. Self-confidence

5.3. What would improve the self-confidence?

 Be assertive, never feel guilty about saying no.
 Give yourself equal priority as those you love.
 Don’t be selfish take your time and help other
 Don’t be afraid of asking others what you want.
 When doing something avoid making any mistake that would make the
situation worse. Think about how others do it, how you would like to do it
and work hard to do better than anyone else can do.

6. How to attain academic success

6.4. The secret language
A secret language is that language that seems to be new, complicated and know
by known by very few people. A secret language may be made up of alphabets,
numbers, full words or drawings that don’t mean as people expect it to be. There
are many secret languages for individuals and groups of people. For creating a
secret language is easy and possible, start thinking about creating yours now.
You need to create a language that is easy for you to memorise and hard for
others to guess.

Here’ s a way to make the easiest secret language, first of

all think of this a mobile phone keypad. For its easy to
memorise it in hours. If you have been thinking of writing
a secret language a keypad is now a solution. You will be
using that language to write you ideas and other private
information that you don’t want anyone else to read or
know anything about. Now lets start with our language,
think about this keypad and the number of times every
button is clicked to write a given letter. Now this is how
every letter would be writen;

Here we still have a lot of work to do we still have alot work to do, in sentences
it wouldn’t be easy to know where the word begins or ends unless zero(0) is
used or an empty space is left between words.
A dot or number ‘1’ is to be used when ending sentences. Still write this language
you will experience some errors while writing the words like ‘door’.

By the time you will be reading a sentense with this word it won’t be easy for
you to know what you wanted to write.

Now the solution is separating the letters.

Now the next is you have to memorise all the letters so as to be able to read and
write this language. Don’t you may start using the keypad aside.
For this won’t be easy for anyone interested in stealing and reading your secrets.
Since you aren’t the only person reading this book its true that oneday there’s a
person who will try to use a phone keypad to read your work. This means you
have think of some tricks and add them to the language. In paragraphs words
would be too long and writing this language would be time consuming. Since
you know the button to be clicked and the number of times to click it while
writing any letter it means you can write the letter by writing the button number
and the number of time the button is to be clicked.

What is the importance of a secret language?

Actually, securing you secret information is not part of what you need to achieve
the academic success. If you are a learner who want to be the best among others
and you have been learning this secret language you have been wasting you time
for no reason. If you are slow or quick learner who want to become a genous
you are in the right place. Writing a secret language will prevent you from
getting stressed and at the same time improving your critical thinking and
creativity. Today find a notebook where you will be writing new ideas, your plans,
your decision in daytoday life and how you feel about yourself.
Infact, selfconfidence is very important in whatever you may be doing. Only if
you believe it learning and writing a secret language is very easy and not time
constuming. Writing a secret language will help you relax and wil make it easy
for for you to remember things but you also have to listen and revise. Many
people think this life isnot magical. Yes it true, in some situations life isnot
magical. If you believe this and do it everyday the rest will just be like magic. The
only reason why you can be a genus is because you don’t trust in yourself.

6.9. Peace
Peace is among the most important things you need to succeed; you don’t have
to panic you just have to take it easy. If want to be a success you should avoid
the negative emotions. Avoid hatred and jealous; if you are working hard to
challenge your enemy you are working hard to fail. Your attitude and living
condition may make you a looser or winner.

My name is Mihigo ER Anaja also know as the author of time and legacy. What
have you learnt from this book? Please always remember life has no formula. I
wrote this book according to what I thought life was like. This book was writen
for all those who sees life as blessing and workhard so those blessings won’t turn

How did I get ideas on different things I wrote in this book?
My book is different from any other book you have ever read. This is one of the
reasons; most of the things written in this book were written not according to
what people say but what they do. When you I was writing this book I didn’t take
a lot of my time asking questions to other people and listen to them, instead I
could sit and look at what people do.
Who is Mihigo ER Anaja?
Yes, I am Mihigo ER Anaja the author of time and legacy. Currently I am still a
student and live in Kigali, Rwanda. In life my interest is still located in many
different things including computer programming. I am not only an author but
also a programmer. I believe strategies in my book will help many people just as
they helped me. In 2018 in the classroom I was just like a very slow learner. I
could work hard and hard using all my effort but I could always fail. When I was
planning for year 2019, evaluating myself; the past mistakes and achievements
I knew a lot about it. I knew some of the causes of my past failure and success, I
knew some of the mistakes that may resulted into my past failure. That’s when
I made notes that contained ideas which I thought would help avoid and
overcome failure.
