Framework Title: Creates a student-centered environment with a Realistic approach to

Enhance critical thinking skills through Assessment and Time-bounded Education.

The picture on the left illustrates what has come to be

called the C.R.E.A.T.E framework. Looking at the picture, you
can think of the six components as separate lenses, each
focusing on a particular aspect of a complete or balanced
learning environment. In this way, the C.R.E.A.T.E framework
represents the goal of creating a learning environment where
all the essential factors that influence how people learn are
present and in balance for learning.

Description of the Framework Elements:

C - Creates a student-centered environment: The framework prioritizes the student's learning

experience, making it the center of the educational process. In this environment, teachers act as
facilitators, guiding students in their learning journey.
R - Realistic approach: This framework element refers to the idea that learning should be
relevant to the real world and that students should be able to connect what they are learning to their
own lives and experiences. This approach helps to make learning more engaging and meaningful for
students.
E - Enhance critical thinking skills: The CREATE model emphasizes developing necessary
thinking skills in students. Teachers encourage students to analyze, evaluate, and apply information
to real-life situations. Various teaching methods that promote critical thinking skills are discussion,
debate, and problem-based learning.

Description of the Framework Elements:

A - Creative Assessment: Assessments measure students' understanding and mastery of the subject
matter. This element emphasizes the importance of assessing students' learning through various creative
methods that allow students to demonstrate their knowledge uniquely and meaningfully. Creative assessment
can include projects, presentations, portfolios, and other forms of performance-based assessment.
T - Time-bounded: The CREATE model recognizes the importance of setting a specific timeline for
learning objectives. Teachers establish clear goals and deadlines to keep students on track and focused on
learning outcomes. This element helps to keep students focused and motivated while also preparing them for
the real world, where time management is critical.
E - Meaningful Education element of the framework indicates that the overall goal is to provide a
meaningful educational experience where all the essential factors that influence how students learn are
present and in balance for learning that prepares students for success in their future.
