ABSTRACT

The main point of this study is to know the impact or the effects of using

slang words towards English Vocabulary acquisition, and to identify their

perceptions about this study. A study will examined on what will be the

students view towards the use of slang words in every situation. This research

used a qualitative narrative research method. The respondent of the research

was grade eleven students Gas Academic Strand of Gingoog City

Comprehensive National High School. From this research will aim to developed

and show the importance between formal English or by using slang words in

developing the skills of learning English. The data will be obtained through

interviews. The result of the study about the use of slang words towards

English Vocabulary acquisition could help student’s skills in learning formal

English rather than slang words. We will explore the importance of using

formal words as one of the technique of skills rather than using slang words.

Moreover, the data gathered will show the impact and benefits whether it is

important or not in using slang words in learning English in their everyday

basis and even at school atmosphere.
