13 Assertion : A Square is a rectangle.
Reason: In rectangle, opposite sides are equal, all angles are right angle, diagonals are equal and they
bisect each other.
16 In a parallelogram one angle is twice its adjacent angle. Find all angles.

26 A quiz competition is a special assessment conducted by the school, colleges, public or private
organizations, businesses, or even individuals to check the participants' general knowledge about a
particular subject or different subjects.
In a quiz contest three prizes are to be distributed. If the first prize is Rs. t , answer the following
questions
(i) The value of the second prize is five- sixths of the first prize, find the expression for the
second prize.
(ii) If the value of the third prize is four-fifths that of the second prize, find the expression for
the third prize.
(iii) If the total value of the three prizes Rs. 3000, find the value of each prize.

15. Any rational number between -21/28 and 8/28
16. Let one angle be = x
Therefore adjacent angle = 2x
x+2x = 180 (sum of adjacent angles = 180)
3x = 180
X = 60
Four angles are 60, 120, 60 and 120.

PR = 10cm , SQ = 24cm
Diagonals of rhombus are perpendicular bisectors.
OP=OR=5cm, SO=OQ= 12cm
In right triangle OPQ,

PQ2 = 52 + 122
PQ2 = 25+ 144
PQ = √169 = 13cm

20. Given:-
ABCD is a parallelogram, and AE and CF bisect ∠A and ∠C respectively.
To prove:- AE∥CF
Proof:-
Since in a parallelogram, opposite angles are equal.
∴∠A=∠C
⇒1/2∠A=1/2∠C
⇒∠EAF=∠FCE⟶(1)
Now, AB∥CD and CY is the transversal. So,
∠FCE=∠BFC⟶(2) [ alternate interior angles]
Page 4 of 6
From eqn (1) & (2), we have
∠EAF=∠BFC
Transversal AB intersects AE and FC at A and F such that ∠EAF=∠BFC
⇒AE∥FC [ by corresponding angles]
Hence proved.
