Metasploitable is an intentionally vulnerable Linux virtual machine. This


VM can be used to conduct security training, test security tools, and
practice common penetration testing techniques. The default login and
password is msfadmin:msfadmin.

For this lab, students will download a vulnerable install of Linux called
Metasploitable and run a number of exploits to see how Linux can be
hacked if not probably patched and maintained. Consider this the
capstone lab of the virtual install option.
