About M-VISION DASHBOARD
The M-VISION Dashboard can be used to display system information, CPU
temperature, CPU speed, BIOS flash status and error message. You also can power
on/ off the system and launch the MSI Center, Youtube, music APP, browser of the
system by touching the M-VISION Dashboard. You can use MSI’s software to configure
and customize the M-VISION Dashboard Advanced mode and even upload a .gif/ .bmp/
.png/ .jpg or .mp4 animation file.

4 About M-VISION DASHBOARD


Connecting the M-VISION Dashboard
The M-VISION Dashboard can be connected to the motherboard not only by the
magnetic case (default mode) but also by the M-VISION cable (detached mode).
Please follow the steps below to connect M-VISION Dashboard to the motherboard by
M-VISION cable.
1. Remove the M-VISION Dashboard from the motherboard.
2. Use the supplied M-VISION cable to connect the M-VISION Dashboard and
specified USB port (M-VISION Dashboard port) on the back panel.
3. Switch the M-VISION switch (M_SW1) to the M-VISION mode.

Get Started
System Requirements
∙∙ Operating System:
▪▪Windows 10 64-bit or later.

Installing MSI Center


1. Go to MSI Website download MSI Center.
2. Extract the downloaded file.
3. Double-click on the extracted MSI Center setup program.

4. Click Install to continue the process.

5. Open the Start menu, then right-click on MSI Center.


6. Hover over More.

7. Select Run as administrator.

8. Please wait until the installation is complete.

9. You can start to use MSI Center.

It displays progress and error codes during POST and shows the CPU core
temperature after start-up the system successfully. Please refer to the Debug Code
LED table in motherboard’s user manual for details.

Debug status
CPU Error
CPU is not detected or failed. And the M-Vision Dashboard will sound an alarm, you
can replace the alarm sound with your desired by MSI center.

DDR Error
DDR memory is not detected or failed. And the M-Vision Dashboard will sound an
alarm, you can replace the alarm sound with your desired by MSI center.

Basic mode 9
VGA Error
GPU is not detected or failed. And the M-Vision Dashboard will sound an alarm, you
can replace the alarm sound with your desired by MSI center.

Boot Fail
Booting device is not detected or fail.

10 Basic mode
Tuning Controller
Tuning controller menu helps you to monitor, control and overclock the motherboard
more easily.

CPU CLK - / +
Touch / to incress/ decrease the CPU base clock/ CPU ratio. Please
go to BIOS > OC > Direct OC Button and select the CPU BCLK or CPU Ratio to be
overclocked.

Safe Boot
Touch and start the system simultaneously to boot in Safe Boot mode. The
system will boot with default and lower the PCIe (from CPU) mode.

OC Retry
Touch to retry OC settings until the system boot up successfully.

Clear CMOS
Power off the computer and than touch to reset BIOS with defaults.

Power On
Touch to power on the computer.

Restart
Touch to restart the computer.

⚠⚠Important
Tuning Controller menu is only available in the POST process.

Countdown Timer
Touch to enter the countdown timer setting page, it allows you to set the time for
the countdown timer.

When you touch to start the countdown timer, the screen will show as below.
∙∙ Touch to go to the main page, and the timer is still counting.

∙∙ Touch to stop the countdown timer and back to the main page.

When the countdown time is up, the screen will show as below.

∙∙ Touch to stop time-up sound and it will back to the countdown timer setting
page.

Show the ambient temperature. The temperature will refresh every minute.

Show the ambient humidity. The humidity will refresh every minute.

Advanced mode
Before using the M-Vision Dashboard advanced mode, please make sure you have
installed the MSI Center. If not, the M-Vision Dashboard will show a warning message
on the screen (as shown below) and the advanced mode is disabled. Please download
and install the MSI Center to enable the advanced mode.

You can use the MSI Center to configure and customize the advanced mode of the
M-Vision dashboard and even upload the pictures or animation files. The M-Vision
dashboard can be used to display the system information and status. You can also
use it to turn on the system’s APPs, browser, and calculator by touching the shortcut
icons.

EZ Tuning
Touch to enter the EZ Tuning menu.

CPU CLK - / +
Touch / to incress/ decrease the CPU base clock/ CPU ratio. Please
go to BIOS > OC > Direct OC Button and select the CPU BCLK or CPU Ratio to be

Shut Down
Touch to power off the computer.

Restart
Touch to restart the computer.

Configure advanced mode with MSI Center
You can configure the Advanced Mode of the M-Vision dashboard with MSI Center.

How to open M-Vision Dashboard setting menu


1. Open the Start menu, then select MSI Center .
2. Go to Features > Mystic Light.

3. M-Vision Dashboard icon to enter M-Vision Dashboard setting menu.

Set APP Shortcut

Set APP Shortcut


Set the application/ web page shortcut for your M-Vision Dashboard. And then you can
touch the shortcut to open the application on your system.

1. Click the Set APP Shortcut .
2. When prompted, click and select one application file (executable file).

3. Click Save to apply the setting.

1. Add the web page shortcut to windows desktop.
2. Click the Set APP Shortcut .
3. When prompted, click and select the web page shortcut.

4. Click Save to apply the setting.

Brightness
Set the screen brightness for M-Vision DASHBOARD.

Direction
Select the screen direction for M-Vision DASHBOARD.

LCD Display
Turn on/ off the LCD display of M-Vision DASHBOARD.

Mute
It allows you to mute the sound of the M-Vision DASHBOARD.

Alarm Setting
Set the alarm and warning sounds.
Audio file format support: .WAV / .MP3 ; maximum 5 seconds.

Hardware Monitor
Select the display items of the hardware monitor function. The pieces of information of
selected items will be shown on the M-Vision DASHBOARD sequentially.

Video Image
Uploading custom animation file.
File Restriction: .BMP/ .JPG/ .PNG/ .GIF/.MP4 ; 800x480 px ; maximum time 100
seconds.

Customize Banner
Uploading custom banner.
File Restriction: .BMP/ .JPG/ .PNG/ .GIF/.MP4 ; 800x480 px.

System Clock
Select the display style of the system clock.

Live Weather
Enable or disable to show the live weather of the designated city.
