• Great Bear Resources sale to Kinross Gold for C$1.8 billion
• Ontario Teacher’s Pension plan investment into Foran Mining of $200M for 20% ownership

project and his relationships with the Governments of both the Northwest Territories and
the Yukon, allowing his projects to flourish
• Jim North, CEO, Ferrexpo – for prioritizing innovation and sustainability while having a
record low incidence rate of injuries, a 30% reduction in Ferrexpo’s carbon emissions
footprint, and operating crisis management when his workforce of 10,000 people was in
Ukraine during Russia’s attack
• Leon Coetzer, CEO ,Jubliee Metals Group – for his leadership, natural entrepreneurship and
vision that developed his team into a multi-asset owning, commodity-diversified and mid-
tier producer
• Marc Bishop Lafleche, CEO, Anglo Pacific/Ecora Resources – for repositioning his company
from one dominated by coal as a source of revenue to one which is focused on future facing
commodities.
• Vincent Mascolo, CEO, Atlantic Lithium – for tirelessly leading Atlantic lithium to advance its
lithium project to Ghana until Vincent’s premature death during the year
