Ques-1: Tell me about your childhood and upbringing?

I grew up in a middle-class family with hardworking parents who instilled strong values in me. I had
a close-knit group of friends, and my childhood revolved around creating lasting memories with
them. I was known for my competitive spirit and often emerged victorious in inter-school and inter-
class competitions. Although I faced some challenges, I always approached life with a positive
outlook.

Ques-2: Tell me about your studies and academics? What kind of student are you in the class?

Academics have been an important aspect of my life. While I faced some setbacks in JEE
Advanced, I didn't let it discourage me. I secured admission to NSUT based on my JEE Mains
score and embraced the opportunity. I am a diligent and hardworking student who strives for
excellence in my studies. Although I initially had reservations about my branch, I have learned to
make the best of it, just like I do with other aspects of life.

Ques-3: Why did you choose this field of study? Any particular reason?

I chose this field of study because I have always been fascinated by technology and its impact on
society. While my rank in JEE Advanced didn't allow me to pursue my preferred branch, I believe
that every path offers its own set of opportunities. I accepted the challenge and made peace with
my branch, knowing that I can still contribute and excel in the field.

Ques-4: What are the professional / corporate / vocational training or visits you did during your
degree?

Throughout my degree, I actively sought out opportunities to gain practical experience. I

participated in vocational training programs and visited various industries to understand their
operations and gain insights into the professional world. These experiences helped me develop a
well-rounded perspective on the practical applications of my field.

Ques-5: Have you done any internship? Any corporate exposure you have?

Yes, I had the opportunity to complete an internship during my college years. I worked with a
reputable company and gained exposure to the corporate environment. The experience allowed me
to apply my theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios and interact with professionals in the
field. It was a valuable learning experience that further shaped my career aspirations.

Ques-6: What skills do you have, which you think will be useful for us?

I possess a diverse set of skills that I believe will be valuable in a professional setting. I am an
excellent public speaker, which enables me to effectively communicate ideas and engage with
others. I am also known for my friendly and approachable nature, making it easy for me to
collaborate with colleagues and build strong relationships. Additionally, I am sensitive and
emotionally aware, allowing me to understand and connect with others on a deeper level.

Ques-7: Do you like sports? What are the sports you play and What you follow? What do you do to
make you mentally, emotionally and physically fit?

Yes, I am an enthusiast of sports and recognize the importance of maintaining physical and mental
well-being. I actively participate in cricket, which I thoroughly enjoy playing with friends. I also follow
various sports, particularly European football leagues, with Manchester United being my favorite
club. To ensure my overall fitness, I engage in regular gym sessions and jogging. While I'm not
particularly inclined towards yoga, I find solace in spiritual activities, such as listening to
motivational songs and speeches, which help me stay mentally and emotionally fit.

Ques-8: What are the non academic extra activities you have done? Share your experiences.

Throughout my academic journey, I have actively engaged in various non-academic activities that
have enriched my overall experience. In school, I participated in numerous extracurricular activities,
including science exhibitions, social-science exhibitions, quizzes, debates, and skits/plays. I fondly
remember winning inter-school and inter-class competitions, which fueled my competitive spirit. In
college, I continued to explore my interests and became involved in organizing both technical and
cultural events. I am a core member of the event organizing team and also contribute as a member
of the training and placement cell. These experiences have not only allowed me to showcase my
talents but have also taught me valuable lessons in teamwork, leadership, and organization.

Ques-9 : Do you like travelling ? What places have you travelled till now ?

Yes, I absolutely love traveling and exploring new places. I believe it broadens my horizons and
provides valuable experiences. So far, I have had the opportunity to visit several beautiful
destinations within India. During my childhood, my family and I embarked on summer holidays,
visiting various religious tourist destinations across the country. These trips allowed me to witness
the rich cultural diversity and architectural marvels of different regions. In recent years, I have also
enjoyed taking solo trips and occasional trips with friends, allowing me to create cherished
memories and further ignite my passion for travel. While I have yet to travel internationally, it
remains on my travel bucket list, and I eagerly look forward to embarking on new adventures
beyond borders.

Ques-10: Are you an introverted person? How are you in people’s management?

No, I am not an introverted person. I am naturally inclined towards being social and enjoy
interacting with people. I believe in the power of effective communication and building connections.
In terms of people's management, I consider myself to be a good listener and empathetic towards
others. I strive to create a comfortable and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and
heard. I understand the importance of teamwork and collaboration, and I enjoy working with diverse
groups of individuals. While I may not be the most extroverted person in every situation, I make an
effort to understand and adapt to different personalities, ensuring effective communication and
smooth interpersonal relationships.

I am Rachit Gupta, a motivated final year B.Tech student with a strong passion for public speaking
and problem-solving. Currently, I am pursuing Instrumentation Engineering, but I am also eager to
explore the fields of software engineering and product management. I believe in continuous
learning and strive to adapt to new challenges while aiming to make a significant impact in my
chosen career path.

In terms of education, I am enrolled in the B.Tech program in Instrumentation and Control at Netaji
Subhas University of Technology, Delhi. I have maintained a commendable CGPA of 8.00/10. Prior
to that, I completed my AISSCE (Class XII) from Vivekanand School with an impressive score of
95.6% and AISSE (Class X) with a score of 94.4%.

I have worked on several noteworthy projects during my academic journey. One such project
involved analyzing and visualizing Uber Cabs Pickup Data using R. This project allowed me to
showcase my data analysis skills and utilize various R libraries to generate insightful plots,
heatmaps, and data frames. Additionally, I developed Wishify, a progressive e-commerce website
designed for buying and selling gifts. As a frontend developer, I was responsible for designing the
website's theme, implementing functionalities, and ensuring a seamless user experience.

My technical skills include proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and
JavaScript. I am also well-versed in web development using HTML, CSS, and React.js.
Furthermore, I have hands-on experience with tools and software like Git, GitHub, VS Code, and
Jupyter Notebook.

In terms of positions of responsibility, I have served as the Director of the Debating Society at

NSUT, where I managed the society's activities and organized various Model United Nations (MUN)
competitions and events. I have also been a part of the NSUTMUN Secretariat, playing a crucial
role in organizing the Colloquium - a Literary and Debating Festival that garnered participation from
different parts of India.

I am proud of my achievements, including securing a remarkable percentile of 95.6 in JEE Main

2020, as well as receiving a High Commendation award in the UNGA committee at Quintessence
MUN and a Special Mention award in the UNGA(1+4) committee at Confero MUN.

To further enhance my skill set, I attended a Product Management Bootcamp organized by

Doremon Den. This bootcamp provided me with valuable insights into product management,
including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, deck making, guesstimates, and product design. I also gained
experience analyzing existing applications like Swiggy, WhatsApp, and Instagram, which deepened
my understanding of problem-solving.

In conclusion, I am a dedicated individual with a strong academic background, technical

proficiency, and valuable experience in leadership and project management. I am excited to
embark on new challenges and contribute positively to the field I choose to pursue.
