II. BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE

DM-PHROD-2021-0010 defined the “Guidelines on the Implementation of the


Results-based Performance Management System for School Year 2020-2021” from the
Department of Education on January 11, 2021. This is the reference of the Individual
Performance Commitment and Review Form which mandates the accomplishment of
12 objectives by all teachers.

Among the key result areas specified in the IPCRF was the establishment of
community linkages and professional engagement & personal growth and
professional development which mandates the building of relationships with parents/
guardians and the wider school community to facilitate involvement in the educative
process. This is the anchor of the activity on benchmarking among SHS teachers to
appraise performance of each staff.
This COVID-19 pandemic limits many activities but offers unique remediation for
professional growth of teachers and this can be done through benchmarking.

Benchmarking opens adaption of best practices from entities visited and


allows the implementation of new processes and leadership from observed
organizations, entrepreneurs and other sectors, thus; this activity is humbly initiated.

III. OBJECTIVE: The activity aims to:

 Benchmark on good practices, processes, management and leadership


worth emulating to appraise performance of teachers.

IV. METHODOLOGIES: For effective facilitation of the activity, the speakers will
use the following methodologies:

 Benchmark to entities or other sectors of the government


 Sharing, interview, observation and adaption
V. EXPECTED OUTPUT: After the conduct of the activity, the teachers are
expected to:

 Produce narrative report of the activity

Note: “Each teacher will prepare a narrative report”
