Introductory Let the pupils do the word search.
Activity Read the following words from the story and instruct them to encircle the following words
from their copy of the story, The Ant and the Grasshopper. (Refer the pupils to the copy of
the story in their LM.

Note: To improve the listening and speaking skills of the pupils, employ the" Teach-Ok"
Technique from Whole Brain Teaching. This technique is a variation of Direct Instruction.

Analysis Ask the pupils: What are nouns? (Nouns are names of persons, animals, places and things)
Say: Give more examples of animals to your seatmate.
Give more examples of places to your seatmate.
Give more examples of things to your seatmate.
Give examples of names of persons-boys, girls, teachers- to your seatmate.
