Alertness

1) Alertness involves exercising both physical and spiritual senses to recognize dangers that could diminish resources entrusted by God. 2) It requires being aware of obvious and hidden dangers from enemies like false prophets, covetousness, and those who would lead us away from God. 3) Developing alertness involves recognizing our spiritual warfare, strengthening our spiritual senses corresponding to physical senses, and focusing on protecting our time, health, purity, fellowship with God, family, reputation, money, and eternal rewards.
