IRELAND Student Visa Process

1. Fill online visa application through this website.

• Fill form carefully. Don’t make mistake in your name. Surname is your last name. forename is your
1st name/names.
• It is long stay visa (Type D)
• It is single entry visa

2. Save and Print visa application summary after completing step 1. Sign it after printing.

3. Book your appointment on VFS website.

4. Pay Visa fee and VFS processing fee.


60 Euro + 65 Euro = 125 Euro (I used my Alfalah Visa card to pay it.)
Note: Now a days during vfs payment the website gets slow and sometimes its deny payment. To
solve this problem kindly phone your respective bank and ask them to activate Internet banking
on your atm card)

5. Save appointment letter


Print 1 copy

6. Save Payment receipt of VFS


Print 2 copies

7. Get private medical insurance for 1 year


• You will start your insurance from the date on which you will start your studies in Ireland (for
example September 12, 2023)

• The other option to get medical insurance is to get it from Pakistan. There are various Insurance
providers in Pakistan that provide study visa insurance in Pakistan . I purchased from United
Insurance Company that cost me around 17250PKR for one year.

Visit Ireland visa center (Lhe/Isb etc, whatever you select while booking appointment) with all the
required documents.
• Original documents
• Photocopies
• Passport size pictures
• Valid Passport
• Don’t bring any thing else except a zipper file carrying your documents. They will not allow you to
enter with such things. Bags USB chargers etc etc.
• They will collect mobile keys etc at entrance.

Required Documents (Original (If applicable) and Copies)

• Appointment letter (VFS)


• Vfs payment receipt
• Photographs with white background (qty: 3)
• Visa Application Summary Sheet (Signed)
• Cover Letter (stating your reasons to come to Ireland and your consent to obey the Irish
rules and regulations during your stay in Ireland)
• Statement of Purpose
• Undertaking (on Stamp paper )
• Police verification certificate (attested from MoFA)
• Curriculum Vitae (resume)
• CNIC copy (i used colored copy)
• English Translation of CNIC (my cnic was smart card as the address on back is written in
urdu language so it’s preferable to use CNIC translation)
• Copy of previous visa refusal (if any)
• Offer letter from University
• Fee payment verification letter from bank (TT copy), receipt
• Fee payment verification letter from university
• Medical insurance for 1 year
• Job experience certificates
• Your original educational documents attested from BISE, HEC and then from MoFA
• Valid Passport (Original + photocopies all pages)
Note: The person sitting at the vfs usually takes your first five pages and last five pages
photocopy along with any page on which their is stamp or visa of any country and return
the rest of them. Ask them to scan your whole passport photocopy as this is another
reason written in many refusals that passport full copy was not provided)
• IELTS / Duolingo test certificate

Financial Documents:
• Summary of finances for study visa application (this form is available on irishimmigration.ie
website mentioned in the start of this file)
• Financial cover letter (explain funds available for education and also explain all the
irregular/large lodgment credited transactions. I explained all the credited transactions in
the bank statements I attached even if its was of 1000PKR so I would recommend to
explain each credited transaction)
As per irish immigration you should have minimum 10000€ for (masters) one year
expenses and 30000€ for (bachelor’s) three year expenses
Note: Please donot use fake bank statement as if they verify it you will get refusal

• Bank Maintenance letter (student)


• Student bank statement of SIX months (bank statement should be on letterhead of bank, if
they are simple printout STAMP EACH PAGE OF STATEMENT BY BRANCH MANAGER AND
BANK STAMP) . Its recommended that you attest your bank statement from MoFA.

• Bank Maintenance letter (sponsor)

• Sponsor bank statement of SIX months (bank statement should be on letterhead of bank, if
they are simple printout STAMP EACH PAGE OF STATEMENT BY BRANCH MANAGER AND
BANK STAMP) . Its recommended that you attest your bank statement from MoFA.

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS:
• Affidavit of support (by sponsor)
• Sponsor passport first page
• Sponsor CNiC ( if cnic is smart card, the address on back is written in urdu language so it’s
preferable to use CNIC translation)
• Family registration certificate issued by NADRA (its mandatory to attest it from MoFA)
• Birth certificate of student (its mandatory to attest it from MoFA)
• Affidavit of support of Income along with supporting documents
(Employment documents, pension documents, rental agreement etc etc...)
• Attached FBR slips, NTN number and other relevant documents of sponsor if available
• Utility bills of the residence where you live
• Tax return certificates if applicable

• The website is updated every Tuesday. So, keep checking if your application is approved or
rejected.
• Generally the time period for student visa is 6-8 weeks but from OCT 2022 and onwards they are
taking more than 10 weeks due to Christmas and new year holidays

Please note.
• Do not staple any of the documents. As they will ask you to remove staple pins due to document
scanning process.
• They will return all the documents (photocopies) except few after scanning.
• The only original document that they will keep is your passport.

• My application got approved on Feb 10,2023
