I. STANDARDS
A. Content Standard: The learners demonstrate understanding of factors that affect climate and the effects of
changing climate and how to adopt accordingly
B. Performance Standard: The learners should be able to participate in activities that reduced risk and
lessen the harmful effects of climate change.
C. Learning Competency: Describe certain climatic phenomena that occur on a global level. ( S9ES-IIIf-31)
D. Objectives:
At the end of the session, the students will be able to:
1. identify what is climate change;
2. understand how human activities contribute to climate change; and
3. state the causes and effect of climate change.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
A. Topic: Climate Change
B. Reference: Science K-12 Curriculum Guide p. 55; Grade- 9 Science Learning Module; Earth Science
Materials: Powerpoint Presentation, pictures, writing materials

Activity No. 1: BINGO BLACKOUT REVIEW
The teacher will ask the previous lesson in the class (Student’s will play the game)
through a game entitled BINGO BLACKOUT
Review. The class are group into 5 and each group
will be given bingo cards. The cards have 8
questions and the students will give the correct
answer in each question. The first group who will
answer with all the correct question will be garnered
as the Bingo Blackout Masters.

All right it seems that you really understand our past
lesson.
C. Engage
Activity No. 2: Picture Analysis: Raise your Voice (Students will do the activity)
The students will have another activity entitled
Picture Analysis. Each group will be given pictures
then afterward they will answer the processing
questions found at the back of the pictures. Each
group will report their answer through reporting.
Processing questions:
1. What can you say about the picture? (Students answer may vary)
2. In the picture, what are the people trying to
convey in their place?
3. What are the possible reasons that they do such
activities?
4. What are the human activities that triggers the
people on the pictures to do such activities?
5. If you are in the picture, will you do the same?

Activity No. 3: Picture Analysis: Spot the difference
The teacher will show the picture below. Then the
teacher will ask the following processing questions
below.
