Course Description The course deals with the nature of identity, as well as the factors and forces that affect the development and maintenance of personal identity. This
course is intended to facilitate the exploration of the issues and concerns regarding self and identity to arrive at a better understanding of oneself. It
strives to meet this goal by stressing the integration of the personal with the academic-contextualizing matters discussed in the classroom and in
everyday experiences of students-making for better learning, generating a new appreciation for the learning process, and developing a more critical
and reflective attitude while enabling them to manage and improve themselves to attain a better quality of life that will enable them to proactively
address the needs of their locality and respond to the challenges of times through their value-laden curricular experience. .

Grading System Talisay City College’s Unified Grading System
Classroom Policies I. Submissions: Submissions have to be done as specified even in instances of non-attendance caused by whatever reason. Late submissions will not be
accepted.
II. Class Attendance: Regular attendance is expected. Should there be absences, the same shall not exceed 20% of the 54-hour contact time in a semester. For
absences an excuse letter must be presented sign by the parents or the guardian.
III. Academic Honesty and Integrity: Plagiarism is a serious offense. All work must all times acknowledge intellectual honesty. Cut and paste will not be
honored. Where Material requires permission from the publisher/author, the same must be strictly followed.
IV. Class Deportment: Everyone must observe professional behavior at all times and shall maintain civil discourse throughout class time. Leaving the class
other than to attend to emergencies and personal necessities is discouraged. Further, cellphones, mp3, Ipod and other gadgets have to be in silent mode
discouraging their use during class hours.
V. Gender Responsive Policy- Talisay City College commits itself into becoming a gender inclusive institution which aims to effect change by creating and
promoting an enabling environment and utilize appropriate knowledge in legal, social, and behavioral aspects of life to boost equal rights, opportunities, and
