Presentation
• A presentation is a collection of Data and information that is to be
delivered to a specific audience. (means of communication which can
be adapted to various speaking situation, such talking to a group,
addressing a meeting or briefing a team.
• A PowerPoint presentation is a collection of electronic slides that
have text, pictures, graphics, tables, sound and video. This collection
can run automatically or can be controlled by a presenter.
• It refers to MS PowerPoint, a program that allows the user to design a
presentation that consists of multiple slides.
Create a presentation
1. Open PowerPoint.
2. In the left pane, select New.
3. Select an option:
1. To create a presentation from
scratch, select Blank Presentation.
2. To use a prepared design, select
one of the templates.
3. To see tips for using PowerPoint,
select Take a Tour, and then
select Create.
Save a PowerPoint Presentation
• Offline
• When you're online, AutoSave is
always on and saves your changes
as you work. If at any time you lose
your Internet connection or turn it
off, any pending changes will sync as
soon as you’re back online.

1. Select the Design tab.
2. Select one of the Themes.
3. Select one of the Variants.

• Goto Insert Tab > select Video > insert

• Keep it Simple
• Make it clear (italics are difficult on read on screen)
• Be consistent.
• Make it Big (Text)
• Do not have too many colors
• Do not have too many font and styles
• Follow the 6 X 7 rules
• No more than 6 lines per slide
• No more than 7 words per line
Frequently used shortcuts
To do this Press
Create new presentation. Ctrl+N
Add a new slide. Ctrl+M
Apply bold formatting to the selected Ctrl+B
text.
Open the Font dialog box. Ctrl+T
Cut selected text, object, or slide. Ctrl+X
Copy selected text, object, or slide. Ctrl+C
Paste cut or copied text, object, or Ctrl+V
slide.
Insert a hyperlink. Ctrl+K
Insert a new comment. Ctrl+Alt+M
Undo the last action. Ctrl+Z
Redo the last action. Ctrl+Y
Go to the next slide. Page down
Go to the previous slide. Page up
Start the slide show. F5
End the slide show. Esc
Print a presentation. Ctrl+P
Save the presentation. Ctrl+S
Close PowerPoint. Ctrl+Q
