STARTUP THIRUVIZHA 2023


@ CODISSIA TRADE FAIR COMPLEX, COIMBATORE

Startup Thiruvizha, a startup extravaganza for 2 Days that witnessed 50+


Speakers, 450+ Stalls and 20,000+ Participants on the 19th and 20th of
August 2023 at the Codissia Trade Fair Complex. Sri Ramachandra
Innovation Incubation Centre (SRIIC) had also been an incubation partner for
the event. We had set up a stall at the venue and various entrepreneurs and
representatives of Healthcare based Startups had visited us.

Mr. Gautam Pai, CEO of Awfficacy Capital and Dr. Madhurita Gupta, Founder
and CEO - Goa Angel Network had visited Sri Ramachandra Innovation
Incubation Centre (SRIIC) and explored our Laboratory Facilities.

TRAININGS
@ SRIIC
AND WORKSHOPS

Sri Ramachandra Innovation and Incubation Centre (SRIIC) had conducted a


hands-on Flowcytometry workshop on the 04 and 05 of August, 2023.
With 20+ participants the workshop.
Participants were from both Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education
adn Research as well as external collages.

@MANAKULA VINAYAGAR, SAVEETHA COLLEGE OF
NURSING, SIMATS

Dr. Anand had been invited to be a resource person for a session on


Innovation for the students of the first year on the occasion of Induction Day at
Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College on the 03rd of August 2023.

Dr. Anand T of Sri Ramachandra Innovation Incubation Centre (SRIIC) had


been the resource person for the session conducted at Saveetha Institute of
Medical and Technical Sciences, Saveetha Engineering College & Saveetha
College of Nursing on the 25th of August 2023. Dr. Anand had spoke about
innovation, recent advancements in product integration and development and
entrepreneurship to the Engineering and nursing students.

OUTREACH ACTIVITY
@ ENTERPRISE SINGAPORE GROUP

Mr. Vivek Dhandapani represented SRIIC in meeting with Wei Kang Wong,
Senior Development Partner at Enterprise Singapore Group, during which we
explored various collaboration opportunities. Our main focus will be on
collaboration in specific med tech accelerators and clinical trials with startups.

During a series of productive meetings at the A*Star Institute of


Bioengineering and Bioimaging, we engaged in insightful discussions with
various Principal Investigators (PIs) and Senior Scientists from different
laboratories at Biopolis, Singapore.
One of the primary areas of interest is medical device development. The
A*Star Institute has expertise in this field, and we explored potential
collaborations to advance the creation of innovative medical devices. We aim
to bring cutting-edge medical technologies to fruition for the benefit of
healthcare.

FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES, PHYSIOTHERAPY

On the 24th of August, 2023 (Thursday) Dr. Anand Thirunavukarasou spoke


to the faculties about entrepreneurship, opportunities in funding aspects for
startups, the startup culture around the world and a lot more to raise awareness
amongst the teaching faculties in the Faculty of Management Sciences.

On the 16th of August, 2023 (Wednesday) Dr. Anand Thirunavukarasou


spoke to the faculties about entrepreneurship, opportunities in funding aspects
for Physiotherapy based startups, the startup ecosystem and a lot more to raise
awareness amongst the teaching faculties in the Faculty of Physiotherapy

A panel discussion session was held online on the 28th of August, 2023 titled -
"From Idea to Execution: Key Steps in Entrepreneurship" in line with the World
Entrepreneurship Day at Sri Ramachandra Innovation and Incubation Centre.
Dr. Adith Chinaswami and Dr. Senthil T Sambandam were the speakers for the
session and the session was moderated by Dr. Anand Thirunavukarasou.
