Integrated stepper motor driver
FD1.6 belongs to FD family micro-stepper drives. It is designed in a compact solution to be mounted directly on motor end-shield.
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS FD drives are all controlled by 72 MHz ARM-based microcontroller. They
are equipped with very low RDS-on MOSFETs and Hall effect current
Supply voltage 24 – 80 VDC sensors to optimize power efficiency.
Motor current Up to 7 AP per phase
FD1.6 is the hardware code of the open frame type. The suffix B (e.g.
Motor type Bipolar, 4 wires
IP 40 and 65 FD1.6B) identifies the model protected by a cover IP40 and the suffix W
is the IP65 version. The aluminum cover works also as heat sink, allowing

FD1.6 is equipped with configurable I/O’s (4 inputs and 2 outputs), which

and RS-485 (from 4 800 up to 921 600 bps) for Modbus communication.
• Torque Control loop The suffix A identifies the model equipped with CAN transceiver, e.g.
Adjustable IMAX (current at maximum torque) FD1.6A, FD1.6AB. CANopen protocol is implemented (from 10 kHz up to
Adjustable IMIN (current at no torque) 1 MHz).
• Step accumulator with programmable alarm limit To avoid unwanted heat dissipation FD1.6 implements motor torque
