Method Statement For 11KV VCB Coupling To Existing VCB - Unimas
METHOD STATEMENT
- Upon receiving the EPTW, use the High Voltage Detector to ensure that the LIVE
part of the existing 11KV VCB Busbar are de-energized/isolated
- LOCAL Earth MUST be APPLIED onto the Existing 11KV Busbar to double confirm
that there is no more any surge of VOLTAGE from any other places and to avoid
any mishap during installation
- Push the NEW 11KV VCB towards the EXISTING 11KV VCB and tighten the NEW &
Existing 11KV VCB by means of Bolt & Nuts given and bolt down the panel to the
Unistrut on the floor by means of Bolt & Spring Nuts (Make sure the leveling
MUST be straight and level of tolerance +-2mm as mentioned in the manufacturer
drawing)
- Upon completion of the above, install all the 3 Phases Busbar at the 11KV VCB
Busbar compartment by connecting the NEW VCB with the existing VCB as per
manufacturer requirement.
- Upon completion, clear and clean the Busbar compartment then install back all
the compartment cover
- Connect all internal / interlink control wiring between all new & existing panels
as per manufacturer shop drawings.
- Upon completion of the above, the competent tester are to perform Contact
Resistance Test on the newly installed Busbar connecting to the existing Busbar
- Hi-Pot Test will be perform between the Newly Installed busbar and the existing
busbar
- Upon completion of the above All LOCAL Earthing installed previously MUST be
REMOVE and our Competent Installation person will CANCEL OFF the EPTW and
handover to SESCO/SEB Authorized Competent & Authorized Personnel at site
- The Licensed and Competent Tester shall conduct all necessary calibration
settings or TRIP TEST on all the Protection Devices with SESCO Personnel
witnessing the work before shutdown to prevent any power downtime during
shutdown
