    TECHNICAL DATA SHEET OF ECOCEM CEMENT PAINT


    Tata Pigments Ecocem is a water proof cement paint to give extra protection to buildings in different
    weather conditions. This provides a hard, durable coating which resists penetration of moisture and
    does not rub, flake or peel off from the surface.

    PERFORMANCE FEATURES
    Tata Pigments Cemplus cement paint has good opacity. It has good opacity. It has anti fungal and
    anti algal properties which makes it a long lasting paint. It can be directly applied over porous
    surfaces of masonary, concrete, common bricks and rough plastics. This can be used for internal
    as well as external surfaces for a hygenic, water proof and decorative finish.

    SURFACE PREPERATION
    The surface to be painted must be free from all dust, grease, traces of paint flakes, fungus,etc. the
    surface previously coated with paint must be cleaned thoroughly with a stiff coir brush, to
    remove dust, dirt chalking or any friable material. This ensures proper adhesion of new paint
    system. All structural cracks must be open in V shape filled with white cement/cement based
    plasters. All leakages should be stopped before actual painting. Freshly plastered surface must be
    allowed to cure completely.

    COLOUR PROPERTIES
    High performance colour pigments that offer excellent matt finish to the wall and can be applied on
    all types of surfaces.

    CURING PROPERTIES
    2 - 3 times curing after first coat within next 8-16hrs. Apply 2nd coat after 8-16 hrs and then
    again 2 – 3 times curing.

    THINNING PROPERTIES
    1kg cemplus thinned with 1000ml of water

    FLASH POINT
    IS :101/1987 part 1, section 6 – Not Applicable

    STABILITY OF THINNED PAINT


    To be used within 1.5 hours (Under Standard condition)

    OPACITY
    Provides good opacity to the surface, protecting it against all damages.

    COVERAGE
    15 - 20 sq ft/kg/2coats, on normal masonry surface by brush application.**

    SHADE RANGE
    All the sahdes available in the Ecocem shade card.

    PRECAUTIONS
     Do not apply when ambient temperature is less than 10°C or if the temperature might
    drop to this level within 4 hrs of application
     Do not over-thin or over-extend the brush
     Do not paint when it is raining
     Do not use saline water foe sprinkling
     Avoid application of paint under strong direct sun as it may cause fast drying, brush
    marks and even patchy surfaces
     If the surface is too absorbenmt then the first coat may have to be applied with more than
    usual thinning

    NOTE:-

    **Actual coverage may vary depending on the surface porosity, surface roughness,
    temperature and application technique.
