IPO League Rules

Players must lag for break. (Lag goes into player stats)
Players must rack their own balls (or both players can get a non-player to rack for
them)
An IPO Inning is to be marked when the first player shoots (not aer the second
Player ends their turn). There can not be a "0" inning game. For example If the
first player shoots and has a "break and run" that is an inning and should be
marked before that Player even starts shoong. (EACH GAME [not match] MUST
HAVE AT LEAST ONE INNING WITHER THE SECOND PLAYER SHOOTS OR NOT). If the
first Player shoots and has a break and run thats 1 inning, that player then has the
break on the next game. That would be the next Inning and the first inning of the
second game
Players have the opon of using a standard rack or a rack templet. It is the Player
that is breaking that makes the choice.
If the Player that breaks (in 8 ball), makes a ball on the break the table is sll open,
and that Player can choose which balls they want to shoot. Once a Player sinks a
ball they are commited to that set of balls for that game.
On a 9 ball break a ball is made that Player has the opon to push.
Lower Skill level Players 399 and below have a double rule. They must call their
intended pocket for the shot they are taking however if the ball goes in any other
pocket they are allowed to connue shoong unl they miss.
Higher Skill level Players 400 and up must call the pocket and the ball must go in
the called pocket. ( Player is required to call their pocket but not the shot.
Example: If the Player calls a pocket and the object ball goes in that pocket but
unintenonally hits another ball but does go in the called pocket the shot counts
and the Player connues to shoot unl they miss.)
At this point standard ball in hand rules apply to match play.
IF A RULES QUESTION COMES UP DURING A GAME THE PLAYERS MUST AGREE
AMONG THEMSELVES ON HOW TO MOVE FORWARD IN THE GAME BASED ON
THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF POOL. AFTER THE MATCH IS COMPLETE A PLAYER CAN
EMAIL FOR RULES CLARIFICATION TO [email protected] FOR OFFICAL IPO
RULES CLARIFICATION. ALLOW UP TO 48 HOURS FOR AN IPO TEAM MEMBER TO
RESPOND.
For a match to count toward Player stats both Players must agree to and submit to
update score at the botom of the scoresheet. (THERE WILL BE NO REFUND ONCE
A MATCH HAS BEGUN).
Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated from any Player. If a player is reported to
have bad sportsmanship by 3 or more players an invesgaon will be made, and
that player could be disqualified from compeng for cash payouts for that session.
If it happens 2 sessions in a row that player will not be allowed to compete for
cash payouts for one full year.
Players are required to be considerate of other players. (Treat others as you would
like to be treated).
On a 9 ball break the 1 ball must be at the top of the rack and must be the first
ball hit on the break.
4 balls must hit a rail on each break or that player must rerack and break again. If
a Player does not reach a rail with 4 balls on 2 consecuve tries the break is
passed to their opponent.
The Player with the most points at the end of a session will be awarded a cash
payout that will be determined by IPO League management.
All decisions made by IPO League will be final.
