1. The session started with an Opening Prayer led by Ma’am Nova Agraviador. It was followed by the
checking of attendance and presentation of Matrix for the day. All the teachers teaching Araling
Panlipunan in Sipaway National High School are present during the session.
2. In the 1st part, Ms. Apurado began the session by emphasizing the significance of embracing big
ideas in Araling Panlipunan. She underscored the importance of moving beyond rote learning to
encourage critical thinking and a deeper understanding of key concepts. Integrative assessment,
she explained, is a powerful tool to achieve this. She shared a compelling classroom example where
students explored climate change through an integrative project, showcasing the transformative
potential of this approach
3. In the 2nd part, Mrs. Fatima Depamaylo took the floor to discuss the preparation of Daily Lesson
Logs (DLL) and Detailed Lesson Plans (DLP). She provided practical tips on aligning lesson plans
with learning objectives, incorporating active learning strategies, and ensuring differentiation for
diverse learners. Ma. Fatima highlighted the importance of clear learning outcomes and adapting
lessons to engage students effectively.
4. After that, Ma’am Junco addressed the vital topic of educational assessment and evaluation. She
shared the guidelines and deadlines for submitting assessments, emphasizing the importance of
data-driven decision-making. She encouraged collaboration among educators to identify least-
learned competencies and use assessments as diagnostic tools for targeted support.
5. An Open Forum then took place. It allows an open discussion of some queries and clarification
about the topic. It was a productive discussion since it emphasized factors or things that could help
enhance teaching skills and utilize effective pedagogy that are efficient for a lesson. This segment
was led by Ma’am Cobarrubias.
6. A short message was followed by Sir Edgar Palagtiosa, the School Principal.
