2. Which mode of speech delivery has the least application? Why do you
say so?
As for me the mode of speech that has the least application is reading a
manuscript because based on my experiences this mode is not most likely
used and when it comes in academic competitions this is not preferred of
the panels, and also this speech is using a copy in which the speaker only
reads it which is making the atmosphere bored and so as the audience.
3. Which mode of speech delivery has the most application? Why do you
say so?
The mode of speech delivery that has the most application or is mostly
used is the impromptu and extemporaneous speech in an instance that
these are most likely used as a great way in schools to evaluate the
students. Extemporaneous speech is more spontaneous and natural that
keeps the audience engaged and interested in the given topic while
Impromptu speech brings the most natural and best thoughts even
though there’s no time given for preparation.

Assessment

1. Has your attitude toward public speaking more positive?

Public speaking is inevitable most especially in this course in which I will


never be able to avoid. My attitude towards public speaking at first is
purely negative because I am not confident enough speaking in front of
the crowd and the knowledge I possess is quite limited but as the days
goes by and I have already experienced such activity my attitude
towards it became more positive. Public speaking is a big help in
increasing my self-confidence and widening my knowledge in such areas.

2. In a scale of 1-10 – with 10 being the highest – what rating do you give
yourself? Why?
I would rate myself 5 out of 10 because I am not yet a person who is
engaged in this kind of activity due to my confidence are lacking, and my
skills are not yet fully developed. I believe that day by day, I will eventually
grow and by that I will be able to rate myself 10 out of 10.

3. In what area of public speaking do you feel you need the most
improvement?
I believe that I need more improvement in impromptu and
extemporaneous speech in an instance that I lack a lot when it comes to
knowledge and ideas about this.
