Prise be to God Almighty for the blessing of his grace, and that we were given the
opportunity to be able to compile a working paper entitled “MAY I HELP YOU ?” is properly
and correctly, and on time.

This paper contains a report on Offering and Responding help. The author would like to
thank friends who have contributed by providing their ideas so that this paper can be arranged
properly and neatly. But apart from that, we understand that this paper is still far from prefect,
for that we apologize if there are deficienciens in writing this paper. We really hope for
constructive criticism and suggestion for the creation of even better next pepers.

Hopefully this paper can give a broader insight to reader. Although this paper has

Introduction

1.1 Background of the paper

We can learn how to use expressions of offer in our daily activities. Offering help is an
expression that can be used to offer/give assistance to other people who are having difficulties in
a polite way. Responding to someone's opinion or someone's response to a statement or someone
else's opinion. We can learn how to use bid expressions in our daily activities.

2.1 OFFERING HELP

The definition of Offering help is an expression to offer help to someone. The purpose is to offer
assistance for someone who is doing something politely. There are three kinds of offering helps
they’re, informal offers, neutral, and formal offers.

If we classifty into their level of formality ( situation), consider the speaker and listrener, here
they are :

2.2 RESPONDING HELP

To respond help, people may accept or reuse an offer of helps. The common respons for help is “
