EC6512 COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS LABORATORY (R-13)

Time: 3 Hours Maximum Marks: 100

1. Transmit a message signal after amplitude modulation and receive the signal back. Determine modulation index. Draw
the waveforms.

2. Transmit a modulating signal using FM transmitter and receive the signal back using FM receiver. Draw the
waveforms.

3. Generate a PCM signal and detect the message signal from PCM signal. Draw the waveforms.

4. Transmit an analog message signal in its digital form and again reconstruct back the original analog message signal at
receiver by using Delta modulation.

5. Study the process of time division multiplexing of many signals. Transmit and reconstruct the signals at the receiver.
Draw waveforms.

6. Study the process of sampling of signals. Transmit and reconstruct the signals without aliasing. Draw waveforms.

7. Perform an experiment to verify different line coding techniques. Draw the input and output waveforms.

8. Generate a Frequency Shift Keying signal. Transmit it and detect the message signal using FSK detector. Realize the
same with MATLAB software.

9. Generate a Phase Shift Keying signal. Transmit it and detect the message signal using PSK detector. Realize the same
with MATLAB software.

10. Generate a Differential Phase Shift Keying signal. Transmit it and detect the message signal using DPSK detector.
Realize the same with MATLAB software.

11. Implement error control coding techniques using MATLAB software. Verify the results theoretically.

12. Write a program in MATLAB for design of signal constellation for BPSK, QPSK and QAM techniques.

13. Implement communication link simulation using MATLAB / SIMULINK software.

14. Write a program in MATLAB for design of equalization using zero forcing algorithms.
