INTRODUCTION
This module’s overall theme is Digital Learners on Windows Environment. In this
module, children will get to learn how to take good care of ourselves and our
computers as well. This module also aims to develop learner’s skills in using ICT
specifically the environment of Windows Desktop.

Unit Overview
Digital Learners on Windows Environment has 1 unit of study. This is:

UNIT 1: Exploring the Window Environment: Children will learn


the tools of going around Windows in this unit. We will know how to use
these tools to navigate through various software applications.
Understanding these will definitely help us find our way in and out of
the Windows environment.

Microsoft Word is a word processing program, we can use it to


create lots of documents. These documents include letters, flyers,
programs, certificates.

Let us open a new document using the Microsoft word. First, let
Us look for the Microsoft word icon on the desktop or laptop. Then.
Double click the icon using the mouse. Let us follow the given steps:
1. Go to start button and click it.

2. Select All apps.

To insert a picture, we:

5. Select the picture/image, then click Insert.
6. To resize the image, put the mouse pointer in the sizing handle.
