SEQUENTIAL TEACHING LEARNING ACTIVITIES EXPECTED BEHAVIOURAL OUTCOME
Set Induction
Activity – 1
Instructions
Tr – you will do this activity in groups.
(teacher makes the group)
Tr – I am now giving you a worksheet. Do not write or mark (students listen to the instructions carefully)
Anything on it unless I tell you to do.
Tr – think of these objects mentioned in your worksheet (students solves the worksheet)
And tick mark the correct option.
Tr – what were you supposed to mark on the worksheet ss – objects that give their own light and objects
Students? That do not give their own light.
Tr – which are the objects that give their own light? Ss – sun, stars, glowworm.
Tr – which are the objects which do not give their own light? Ss – book, trees, plastic
Tr – students, have a look around you and tell me what ss – chair, tables, desk books, trees
objects you see?
darkness?
Tr – what would you do then to see there object in the dark? Ss – use candle, torch, bulb.
Tr – now see through the transparent sheet what can you ss – table, chairs, books.
see?
Tr – give me some examples of transparent objects. Ss – glass, transparent cover, air water.
Tr – what can you see through the butter paper? Ss – can not see clearly.
Tr – give me some examples of translucent objects. Ss – butter paper, plastic bag, tracing paper
Tr – (ask 3rd student) are you able to see anything? Ss – no. can’t see anything.
Activity – 2
Instruction
Tr – I will now give you some worksheets. Groups will remain
The same for this activity.
(teacher gives the worksheet) (students solve the worksheet)
Tr – what did you mark in the worksheet? Ss – transparent, translucent & opaque objects
Activity – 3
Instructions
I will now do some activity & you have to observe very
carefully what I am doing and then mark in your worksheet.
(tr calls a student & with the help of student passes light
through all the objects.)
Tr – what did you observe students? Ss – some objects do not allow light to pass
Through them. In some objects light passes
Clearly & in some objects light passes
Partially.
Tr – the objects which allow light to pass through them
Clearly are called transparent.
