PROJECT PROPOSAL
(SY 2020-2021)
I. TITLE: RICE PRODUCTION

II. OBJECTIVES:
1. To increase rice production;
2. To give additional income for the school;
3. To demonstrate skills and technical-know-how in modern rice farming.

III.RATIONALE:
Rice is the staple food of the Filipinos. Today, there is scarcity of rice due to the
increasing population and the weather condition that affects our country these past years.
Therefore, there is a need for us to increase our supply for the demand of the people.

IV. PLANNING AND PREMISES:


An area of approximately 2500 sq. m. located at the back of the school building will
utilized. The School Farming Coordinator, Farm Workers were involved in the project. All
inputs will be purchased by the school, whereas planting (sowing of seeds), cultural
practices, harvesting, and drying will be done by the Farm Workers.

V. ESTIMATED EXPENSES:
A. Inbred Rice Seeds (NSIC Rc 430)- 1 cavan @1,400/cavan - Php 1,400.00

B. Land Preparation/Irrigation
The School four-wheel tractor and the Hand tractor will be utilize in the land
preparation.
Fuel:
1. Diesel Oil - 2 liters @ 150/liter - 300.00
2. Diesel Fuel - 30 liters @ 30/liter - 900.00

C. Fertilizer:
1. Urea - 1.25@ 1,100/bag - 1,375.00
2. Complete - 1/2 bags @ 1,200/bag - 600.00

D. Herbicide:
1. Nominee One - 1 set @ 1,200/qrt. - 1,200.00

E. Chemicals:
Brodan (Insecticide) - 1 litter @ 450/qrt. - 450.00
TOTAL EXPENSES - Php 6,225.00

VI. HARVESTING/ THRESHING


Harvesting and threshing will done by the farm workers.
VII. ESTIMATED GROSS INCOME:
Fresh Harvest
60 cavans/ha. x .25 ha. = 15 cavans @ 50 kilos/cavan = 750 kgs.
x P 12.00/kg.
GROSS INCOME - Php 9,000.00
Less Expenses - Php 6,225.00
TOTAL NET INCOME - Php 2,775.00

Dried
50 cavans x .25 ha. = 12.5 cavans @ 50 kilos/cavan = 625 kgs.
x P 18.00/kg.
GROSS INCOME - Php 11,250.00
Less Expenses - Php 7,000.00
TOTAL NET INCOME - Php 4,250.00

Milled
40 cavans x .25 ha. = 10 cavans @ 50 kilos/cavan = 500 kgs.
x P 36.00/kg.
GROSS INCOME - Php 18,000.00
Less Expenses - Php 8,000.00
TOTAL NET INCOME - Php10,000.00
