46th Moving-up and Recognition Rites Script


S.Y. 2022 – 2023

Jericho: Malimpin National High School 46th Commencement and Closing Exercises is
about to begin. Before we begin the ceremony, may we remind you to turn your phones
in silent mode, be courteous around you, and refrain from talking loudly. During the
presentation of awardees, completers and graduates, we highly encourage you to express
your pride by giving applause and cheer.

I. PROCESSIONAL

Elton: Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.
The beautiful thing about learning is that, no one can take it away from you.
Ladies and gentlemen, let us all rise to behold the entrance of colors.

INTRODUCTION

Elton: Graduation, Moving-up and Recognition Rites are joyous occasions since they symbolize
the end of an educational journey and the beginning of a new, more unpredictable, and tough
phase in man's quest for a better life and future. It truly represents the culmination of many years
of dedicated effort in the pursuit of knowledge: knowledge that will help a person to seize
opportunities and tackle obstacles with clarity and purpose.
Jericho: Indeed, as the school year 2022-2023 draws to a close, we will see another chapter of
history unfold. We've been watching these young ladies and gentlemen prove their worth for
almost ten months in order to be a part of this year's closing exercises.

II. Doxology

Elton: We cannot come this far without the guidance of our Almighty God. As an expression of
appreciation, let us all stand and let us sing praises for our doxology, though audio-visual
presentation.

III. NATIONAL ANTHEM

Jericho: We humbly request everybody to please remain standing for the singing of our National
Anthem to give honor to our Philippine National Flag, the singing of Pangasinan Hymn and
SDO1 Pangasinan Hymn.

IV. WORDS OF WELCOME

Elton: Please be seated. Today is the day that most parents and students around here have waited
for so long in their life. So, without further ado, please help us welcome Mrs. Delia C. Dulay,
our PTA President for her words of welcome.

Jericho: Thank you Ma’am Delia for those sincere words of welcome.

V. INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE

Elton: Success is not final. All we need is courage to continue; and the inspiration to move
forward. Let us hear an inspirational message from our very devoted and dedicated Public
Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Barmie M. Caluza.

Jericho: Thank you for your words of inspiration, Sir. Despite limitations, our graduates
and completers have proven that excellence is never impossible with hard work and
determination.

VI. PRESENTATION OF CANDIDATES FOR MOVING-UP AND GRADUATION

Elton: And now the most significant moment in every moving-up and graduation ceremony
has come. At this moment, to formally recognize all of you, please help us welcome, our
dedicated and diligent school Principal IV, Sir Ferdinand R. Balaoing to present the candidates
for moving-up and graduation.

VII. DECLARATION OF CANDIDATES FOR MOVING-UP AND GRADUATION

Jericho: We also meekly request the presence of our Education Program Supervisor, Dr. Lalaine
for the declaration and confirmation of candidates for Moving-up and Graduation.

Elton: Thank you, Dr. Lalaine and congratulations completers and graduates! You may surely
give your back and your seatmates a hug and a pat now for passing through a wheel of ups and
downs of being a student.
VIII. AWARDING OF DIPLOMAS AND CERTIFICATES TO THE JUNIOR HIGH
SCHOOL COMPLETERS AND SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES

Jericho: One of the greatest feelings in the world is to have proof of your success. At this
juncture, dear students the merit you have been waiting for has finally come. You will receive
your diploma and certificate as symbols of your success.

Elton: So now, ladies and gentlemen, the awarding of diplomas and certificates to the Junior
High School completers and SHS Graduates shall now begin. May we call on stage our
distinguised Guests to be led by our Guest of Honor and Speaker, Sir Ferdinand R. Balaoing, Dr.

Jericho: We know what you have been through is not easy because we have been there. So now,

XV. WORDS OF THANKS

Elton: To express gratitude and appreciation, let us hear it from Joanna Mae S. Basuel, a Grade
10 Outstanding Completer of Class 2023.

Jericho: Thank you, Joanna, for those words of thanks.

XVI. MESSAGE TO THE COMPLETERS

Jericho: It is often said that “In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take”. Our dear
completers, let us have Mr. Elton John G. Pilar, Grade 10 – Adviser, to give us the message to
the completers.

Jericho: Thank you, Sir Elton. I’m sure that our completers are thankful for giving them some
points to ponder. May the stars align for them.

XVII. VALEDICTORY MESSAGE

Elton: Marva Collins once said that “Success doesn’t come to you, you have to go for it” and
our class valedictorian definitely went for it. Let us now welcome Maricel Mae S. Grapa, for
the words of Gratitude.
Jericho: Thank you, Maricel for that awesome and astounding message. Congratulations!

XVIII. GRADUATE’S PLEDGE

Jericho: “Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare
for it today.” —Malcolm X. At this juncture, let us listen to the Grade 12 adviser, Sir Jaybe M.
Movilla for his message to the graduates.

Elton: Thankyou so much Sir Jaybee for that very touching, moving and inspiring message to the
graduates.

XIX. GRADUATE’S PLEDGE

Elton: To complete the essence of being a graduate, may we call on Almira Calixtro to lead the
graduate’s pledge.

Jericho: Thank you, Sean Gabriel.

XX. GRADUATION SONG

Elton: In every memorable moment of one’s life, there are always songs that will embody
inferred emotions. With a round of applause, let us welcome the Grade 10 completers for their
moving up song.

Jericho: That was a very memorable moving up song. Goodluck and may you climb the highest
mountains of success. And now, let us move on to the Graduation Song of our SHS Graduates,
batch 2023.

XXI. CLOSING REMARKS

Jericho: Anatole France says that to accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also
dream, not only plan but also believe… this day is indeed a moment for our graduates, and
awardees to dream and believe.

Elton: With wisdom and divine faith, these individuals will surely accomplish things from their
own very best. To formally close the program, let us all lend our ears to the closing
message from our very own school head, the ever loving father of Malimpin National High
School, Sir Ferdinand R. Balaoing, sir.

Jericho: We would like to express our sincere appreciation and thanks to you sir Ferdinand R.
Balaoing.

XXII: RECESSIONAL

Elton: It is our hope that our, the graduates, completers, and awardees of Class 2023, shall
confidently take the path of their chosen careers. Bring the knowledge and values you have that
our Alma Mater planted in you.
Jericho: Dear Graduates, Completers, and Awardees, as you continue your journey, may
you look back to this stage in your life with fondness and pride. May God fill your hearts
with love because that love will take you further in life.  Graduates, congratulations!

Elton: This program may have come to an end, but its meaning will live on in our hearts forever.
