Shortcuts For Navigating Xero

Shortcuts allow navigation to key Xero screens including the Dashboard, Business menu, Accounting menu, and Payroll menu. Keyboard shortcuts can be used to search for and access specific screens like invoices or contacts by entering the screen name after pressing the forward slash key from most areas within Xero except for Fixed Assets, Reports, Projects, Expenses and Payroll.

Shortcuts for navigating Xero

Screens you can access using shortcuts

• Dashboard
• The Business menu for invoices, quotes, sales and purchases overviews, bills to pay,
purchase orders, expense claims and products & services
• The Accounting menu for bank accounts and reports
• The Payroll menu for employees, leave, timesheets, pay, taxes & filings
• The add icon to create a new invoice, contact, bill, quote, purchase order, manual journal,
spend, receive or transfer money transaction

Use keyboard shortcuts to navigate Xero

1. Click the search icon or press the forward slash (/) key on your keyboard while on
any screen in Xero (except Fixed Assets, Reports, Projects, Expenses and Payroll).
2. Enter the shortcut key corresponding to the screen you want to access.
3. Select the screen name that appears below the search bar.
