IV. RATIONALE Rationale:
AND
OBJECTIVES In times of crisis, the teaching and learning process takes on a new shape.
When a pandemic strike, schools must be resilient and formulate innovative ways to
continue teaching and learning. The migration to online and modular learning modes
to avoid the risk of face-to-face interaction is one emerging reality as a result of the
global health crisis. However, this abrupt transition has caused issues, particularly
for learners who do not have access to technology and parents/guardians who have
had a disadvantaged education. Due to access and internet availability, teachers and
students have found it difficult to maintain academic attention. This becomes a
reason for teachers to bridge the learning gap through Mobile Learning (ML).

Mobile Learning (ML) aims the following:

1. to help students overcome academic challenges and lead them to

independent learning;
2. to improve academic skills of the students in all learning areas;
3. to raise their level of comprehension and to provide a stronger foundation
for further academic work; and
4. to prepare students to work effectively and independently as their ticket to
group learning environments.

V. DESCRIPTION Mobile Learning (ML) is a one-on-one tutorial to students who are facing
academic difficulties from grades 7 – 12. Every Wednesday, the ML team will visit
various locations/barangays. These barangays are the following:
1. Bangaan
2. Sigayan
3. Bauyan
4. Calibao
5. Tantaon
6. Payong
7. Piraka
8. Ilian

The purpose of Mobile Learning is to assist learners in overcoming academic

obstacles and leading them to self-directed learning. It is a unique type of instruction
that differs from the typical classroom setting. A tutor/ learning facilitator provides
one-on-one attention, personalized explanations, and the opportunity to ask as many
questions as they want in a nonjudgmental environment. It will also encourage
tutee /learner’s academic independence rather than reliance on the tutor.
The ML team, which includes teachers and a Community Learning
Facilitator (CLF), will assist academically challenged learners in developing
interdependence.

VI. BENEFICIARY Grade 7 - 12 learners

VII. BENEFITS
#GO100 Students learn quicker, understand more information, remember their lessons,
and actually like studying when they have one-on-one encounters with their teachers.
Students who have one-on-one learning connections have more control over their
studies, have the confidence to convey what they need, and receive the customized
attention they need to achieve.

inform your office as to the barangay’ s schedule.

We would also like to ask assistance from your good office during our visit for security and installation of the
learning materials like TV, computer, welding machine, and baking equipment as aid for our work/class session.

These are the teachers and volunteers as part of the mobile learning team.
