Mon 20th
- R arrive. Breakfast/lunch w Grandma. Rooftopping in central and meet friends? Stay
at Grandmas or find accommodation.

Tue 21st - Central Kowloon (Mong Kok, Yau Ma Tei, Jordan)


- Cat arrive. Meet at airport 6am/7am. Leave luggage at airbnb in TST. Camera shops.
- Breakfast at Mui Kee Congee
- (Mong Kok) Yuen Po Street (bird street), Flower Market, Fa Yuen Street Market,
Ladies Market
- (Yau Ma Tei + Jordan) Lunch (Mido?) YMT fruit market, Lee Wo Steelyard, Sze
Cheung (boat pulley), Jordan Jade Market, Mahjong+frame+calligraphy shops.
- Chungking mansions and roof.

Wed 22nd - Central and West Hong Kong Island - Whenever


● Walk around TST, pier walk. Ferry across to HK island
● Central HKI: Central, Pottinger Street, Locksmith and barber vendors, mid levels,
man mo temple, cat street
● West HKI: Sai Ying Pun, bamboo steamer shop, Ramada hotel pool rooftop,
● Kennedy Town: Tea shop, Kwun Lung Lau roof, explore area try roofs
● Victoria peak?

East Hong Kong Island - Nice to do if partially sunny


- Causeway Bay, Tin Hau, Fortress Hill, North Point, Quarry Bay
- Slowly head east up the island through residential districts taking it in, photos, trams,
should be plenty of roofs/balconies to get roof to roof photos.
- Yick Cheong building
- Try some higher profile roofs?
- BRAEMAR HILL (sunset - not raining)

Yuen Long - (Not raining or extremely cloudy)


- Walled villages
- Yuen long + park pagoda
- Wetlands park

New Territitories NE: Abandoned Village Trail (Weekday) (whenever)

Kayaking:
Sometimes Kayak only available during late May to mid-November
Prices range between $130-160 a day for each Kayak. (After 10Am return by 5PM).
Get Waterproof bag? Alternatively rent a locker to keep some belongings?

Sai Kung:
minibus to Sai Kung from Hang Hau MTR Station (minibus 101M), Mong Kok MTR Station (red
minibus – it will say Sai Kung on the front), or Choi Hung MTR Station (minibus 1A or bus 92)

- Sunrise at Hong Kong's largest reservoir, High Island Reservoir East Dam, is apparently
beautiful. You can get there by taking a 30-minute taxi from Sai Kung Town that will take you
to the area, or can hike our way here before daybreak to catch the sunrise views.

Mai Po Reserve: Their website is a mess. The best thing would be calling them in my opinion.
- Tours are held and the reserve is normally open 9 to 5pm.
- Cost varies from $450-$550 per ticket, with shuttle bus fare included.

- Taxi from Yuen Long should take about 15min and cost $70.
- There’s also a shuttle bus from Yuen Long - Times.
- Or Bus 76 K to Mai Po Village, then walk 20 minutes to Mai Po Reserve
- In order to get a free tour (no guide) we need to submit a form (that I can’t find any working
links to) a week at least before the visit, and be enrolled with a recognized bird watchers
society or WWF (world wide fund for nature) affiliate. Also submit our passport information.
