Narrative Writing Prompt List and Worksheet

A writing prompt is a short entry that generally contains a question to help you
pick a topic to write or thing about. Writing prompts can be used to kick-start
your creativity.

Directions: Circle the writing prompt from the list below that you wish to write
about. Write a narrative responding to the chosen prompt.

1. Write about a time you received an award, certificate or trophy.

2. Write about a time you had to work on a difficult school assignment.

3. Write about a fun experience you had during the school day.
