2. Question number 1 to 10 carries 2 marks each, question number 11 to 20 carries 3
marks each; question 21 to 30 carries 5 marks each.

1. If ‘S’ is the sum of all the distinct possible values of the tens digit of 91 1ab, where ‘1ab’ is
a three-digit natural number and ‘a’ and ‘b’ are single digit whole numbers, find the value
of ‘S’.

2. In the square ABCD, AB = 26, AS = DQ = x, AR = BP = y. It is given that the area of the


black region is equal to the area of the white region inside the square. Find the largest
possible value of x + y.

3. When ‘2’ is added to each of the three roots of x 3 – Ax2 + Bx – C = 0, we get the roots of
x3 + Px2 + Qx – 18 = 0. A, B, C, P and Q are all non-zero real numbers. What is the value
of (4A + 2B + C)?

4. N is a natural number of at least 5 digits and its leftmost digit is 6. When this 6 is removed
from N, the number thus obtained is found to be 1/25 times of N. What is the sum of the
digits of N?

5. A rhombus, with side 4cm, is rotated around its longer diagonal to make a solid. If the
length of the shorter diagonal of the rhombus is 2 7 cm, what is the volume (in cm3) of
the solid thus formed?

6. The number 144 is written on a board. At each step, you can take the number written on
the board and either multiply it by a prime p or divide it by a prime p. In the second case,
the number must be divisible by p. For example, a possible series of steps would be 144,
72, 24, 8, 40, 120. Find the minimum number of steps to make 2700 appear on the board.

7. P(x) = x3+ bx2 + cx + d is a polynomial in x. You are given that P(1) < 0, P(4) > 0, P(6) <
0 and P(10) > 0. If all of the roots of P(x) are integers, what is the maximum possible
value of |c|?

8. For a positive integer n, let A(n) be the equal to the remainder when n is divided by 11
and let T(n)= A(1) + A(2) + A(3) + · · · + A(n). Find the value of A(T(2024)).

9. Let f ( x ) | x  2 |  | x  4 |  | 2 x  6 | . Find the sum of the largest and smallest values of

smaller than the natural number). How many interesting numbers are greater than 10 but
less than 99?

16. Let ABC be a triangle with incenter I. Points E and F are on segments AC and BC
respectively such that, AE = AI and BF = BI. If EF is the perpendicular bisector of CI,
then ∠ACB in degrees can be written as m/n where m and n are coprime positive integers.
Find the value of m + n.

17. How many new regular polygons, each with distinct area, can be constructed by joining
three of more vertices of a regular polygon having 1960 sides?

18. The solid formed will be of the shape where two identical cones are joined from their
bases. The height of each cone will be half of the longer diagonal and the radius will be
half of the shorter diagonal.

19. Concentric circles of radii 1, 2... 100cm are drawn. The interior of the smallest circle is
coloured red and rings are coloured alternately green and red so that no two adjacent

24. If ABC is a triangle, D and E are points on BC and CA such that 2BD = DC and 3CE =
2EA. Now AD and BE intersect at P. If the area of the triangle ABC is 77 then find
1/3 (area of  ABP).

25. A cuboid is completely inscribed in a hemisphere of radius 2 units such that a face 'F' of
cuboid completely lies on the base of hemisphere. If one of the sides of 'F' is 2 units, then
