normal subgroup H. Prove that if G is commutative then

a normal subgroup of G and G/G’ is commutative.

11. (a) Let D be a unique factorisation domain with
the quotient field F..Let f and g be two primitive -
polynomials in D[x]. Prove that fand g are associates in
D{x] iff they are associates in F[x].
(b) Prove that the product of two primitive
polynomials over a unique factorisation domain D is
primitive.
12. (a) Let R bea commutative ring with 1. Prove that
there exists a maximal ideal in R.
(b) Let R be acommutativering with 1. Prove that
an ideal / of R is maximal iff R// is a field.

following are equivalent :
