all its raw material is sourced from its own ginning plants situated in nearby areas. This raw
material is further processed in a unique imported plant and machinery set up and fully equipped
with top class utilities comprising of Boilers, Thermic Fluid heaters, Compressors, Water treatment

 MACHINERY PROFILE

 Delinting – Carver Technology

 Pretreatment Extractor – Patented Chinese technology with Two Stage Drag Chain type
extraction with Soaked & Repeated Degossypolization & Oil removal at low temperature
drying.
 Oil Seperators – GEA Westfalia Seperators, Germany, Model- EASY PRO 100 & EASY
PRO 200 (Self Cleaning type)
 Oil Refining – Chempro Technovations Pvt. Ltd.
 Final Packing – Multiple Screen filter

Plant is powered by Co-Gen Thermal Turbine plant & Solar Roof Top plant for its energy
needs thus leaving a very significant Green Energy Footprint.

 Refinery

 Crude oil obtained from solvent extraction process is refined in 100 TPD refinery which is
provided by Chempro Technovation Pvt Ltd based in Ahemedabad, Maharashtra which is
specialized in refining cottonseed oil in continuous process.
 The refinery is designed to refine the crude oil in its worst condition, at lowest losses as
possible.
 Soap and gums are separated by high quality separators provided by GEA WESTFALIA for
removing FFA at it’s lowest.
 The Bleacher and Deodorisatior are designed by Chempro Technovation Pvt Ltd themselves
to obtain the best quality oil of about 1-2 unit color.

 Process :
1. Winterisation
2. Hydrogenation
3. Alkali Refining
4. Bleaching
5. Deodorization
6. Interesterification

 Purpose:
1.Removes free fatty acids, glycerol, carbohydrates, resins, metals, phosphatides and
protein meal.
2. Eliminates trace metals and other colour bodies.
3.Cottonseed oil destined to be used as salad oil is winterised so that it will not become
cloudy when chilled.
4. Hydrogenation produces oil with the mouth feel, stability, melting point and lubricating
qualities necessary to meet the needs of manufacturers.
5. It removes volatile compounds from the oil, the end product is a bland oil with a low
level of free fatty acids and a zero peroxide value. This step als removes any residual
pesticides or metabolites that might be present.
6. To rearrange or redistribute fatty acids on the glycerol backbone It can improve the
functional properties of the oil.

 Procedure And Chemical Reaction

1. The oil and alkali are mixed allowing free fatty acids and alkali to form a soap. The resulting
soap stock is removed through centrifuging Cottonseed oil is also refined using a process called
miscella refining.

2. Bleaching clays are used, which adsorb the impurities.

3. Oil is chilled with gentle agitation, which causes higher melting fractions to precipitate. The
fraction which settles out is called stearin.

4. Treatment of oil with hydrogen gas in the presence of a catalyst results in the addition of
hydrogen to the carbon-carbon double bond.

5. Deodorization is a steam distillation process carried out under a vacuum. Cottonseed oil as it
can be deodorized at lower temperatures, which results in more tocopherols
(natural antioxidants) being retained.

8|Page
6. This is most often accomplished by catalytic methods at low temperatures. The oil is heated,
agitated and mixed with the catalyst at 90°C. There also are enzymatic systems which may be
used for interest erification.
