READ THE FOLLOWING BLOG ENTRY ON THE IMPORTANCE OF FASHION TODAY.
Dear friends,
I’m an Italian girl who is very fond of fashion. Fashion is spreading all over the world but in
particular among young teenagers. As a consequence, they all look alike and the result is
the fact that they haven’t got a personal style. This conveys the idea of lack of personality.
5 Lots of insecure teenagers think that their way of dressing is not suitable for the society
they live in. So, in order to look more beautiful they decide to be like a model and attempt
to break into the modelling world. In fact, modelling is a dream job for many young people.
So, the question ‘Why are teenagers fascinated by this way of life?’ comes spontaneously. I
think that the reason is poor information. In fact, TV and radio show us only the good
10 things, like gorgeous clothes and surprising fashion shows, but ignore the negative effects
that the fashion industry has on young people.
We know that all the models look like a Barbie because they are tall, thin and have no
shape. So, teenagers who want to look like them but are fatter than models start eating
only vegetables in order to lose weight. But the consequences may be very harmful, like
15 anorexia and bulimia.
Is fashion worth the trouble?
