CoLOS Driver Pack REV.:1

Overview
CoLOS Driver Pack v1.0 supports 5940 and 9750 printer models for CoLOS 6.0.1 and onwards.

Driver Pack Installation


Prerequisites
• CoLOS Product Suite 6.0.1 or later.
• Windows Administrator profile.

Installing the CoLOS Driver Pack


1) Download the CoLOS Driver Pack from one of the following locations:

• Download from OneDrive.


• Download from MI Website.
• Download from the EDL tool.

2) Install the CoLOS Driver Pack:

Note: Before you start, save, and close all CoLOS applications.

a. Run the Driver Pack Setup.exe file as an administrator.

b. From the drop-down menu, select your CoLOS version (e.g., 6.3).

Note: CoLOS Driver pack should be installed for each CoLOS version installed.

c. Select Install to start the installation.


d. Once the installation is done, select Finish to close the wizard.

3) Generate and activate the license:


a. Get the license from MI Website or EDL using Generate license.

Note: You need a valid service contract to regenerate the CoLOS license and use the Driver Pack.

b. Open and navigate to one of the following CoLOS Applications:

• CoLOS Administrator – Browser → Control Panel → System → Upgrade CoLOS version.


• CoLOS Designer – Tools → License → Upgrade CoLOS version.

c. Enter the new Activation Code.


d. Select OK to finish.

CoLOS will now prompt you to restart. After the restart, your license will be activated.

e. To see the Driver Pack info (version, models, and access), navigate to CoLOS Administrator →
Browser → Control Panel → System → Properties → License → Device Driver Pack.

Revert the CoLOS Driver Pack


To revert the CoLOS Driver Pack:

1) Open the Services application.


2) Stop the Markem-Imaje Connectivity V6.X service.
3) Copy the backup files (available in the DriverPackBackup folder under CoLOS installable path)
4) Once done, Start the service Markem-Imaje Connectivity V6.X service.

CoLOS Driver Pack is now reverted.

Client Server Application


To use the Driver Pack on the client and server, you need to first install the Driver Pack on the server and
client machines.

Note: Use the correct CoLOS version and proper path for successfully installing Driver Pack on the client
machines.
